I was in our classroom, waiting for our professor to arrive. Our subject for today is Arts Appreciation.
After 5 minutes, he arrives with his laptop.
"Good morning, everyone," she said.
"Good morning, Ms. Fernandez," we said back.
"Okay, so we will be having an art project, which I am sure you will all like," she said.
"Oh, no," one of my classmates said, pouting their lips.
"Why are guys being sad?" our professor asks.
"Ma'am, is the project for a group or an individual?" one of my classmates asks.
"Don't be sad because this is a project for two people," she said.
"Ma'am, are we going to choose our partner?" Camille asks.
"No, I already did that last night," she answered.
"Can we just pick, ma'am?" Camille asks.
"No, this is final," our professor said.
"Oh, no," Camille worriedly said.
"It's okay," I said.
"Okay, so for our first pair, we have Jerome and Camille," our professor announced.
"Oh, my god! Eli, I don't want him to be my partner," she whispered.
"No choice," I replied.
"Christian and Tanya," our professor said.
"Russelle and Elijah," she added.
WHAT THE FUCK?! We are 50 here in this class. Why am I paired with him? Can I file a complaint?
"Aww! Baby, we're not partners," Tanya said, pouting her lips.
Baby? Eew! Disgusting! It's irritating to hear! Argh!
"Yeah, too bad," Zeke muttered.
Too bad? Huh?
Our professor finished announcing every pairing, and after that, she discussed what we would do.
"Okay, so that's it. It's so easy, right?" she asks.
"How come that is easy?" Camille whispered.
"You're too loud. She might hear you blabbing," I said.
"That will be due on Monday," she added.
"Ma'am! Are you sure?" Jerome exclaimed.
"Yes, is there a problem?" she asks.
"No, nothing," Jerome weakly said.
While I was putting my things in my bag, Zeke suddenly appeared on my side.
"Eli, how do you want to do the project?" he asks.
"Uhm, I still don't know," I replied shortly.
"Do you want to talk about it after class?" he asks.
"Sure, where do you want to do it?" I ask.
"Where do you want to do it? Do you want to do it in my condo or in your apartment?" he asks.
"Can we do it in our apartment?" I said.
"Yeah, so later?" he said.
"Hmm," I hummed.
"I'm so envious because you two were partnered. Can I tag along?" Tanya asks.
"Can she come with us, Eli?" Zeke asks.
