You were somewhat startled, to say the least, when you awoke in an unfamiliar field, your eyes dazzling at the sight of the night sky. Stars dangled above your eyes like glimmering jewels, and a full moon sat just above you, shining down onto you. You blinked a few times, your eyes still adjusting to the sight, your hair sprawled across the damp grass.

'Oh...ew.'

Sitting up slowly, you rubbed your eyes, brushing your shoulders off from the grass and licking your lips a few times. An abandoned hospital entered your peripheral view, which you blinked at, your eyes relaxing. 'This isn't where I usually wake up. Did it work? Am I back in Colorado?'

A dim light flickered from the hospital window, causing you to raise a brow. You hesitantly stood up, your eyes narrowing at the unfamiliar hospital. 'Huh...'

'Actually...what's the date, even?' You reached for your phone in your pocket, pulling it out while still keeping your eyes on the hospital, before looking down. 'June sixth..nineteen-ninety-nine (1999).'

The date was read in Italian, which you internally groaned at. Your nose scrunched up, and you placed your phone back in your pocket, feeling around your thigh for the dagger you had almost killed yourself with. Your finger grazed over the handle, and you brandished it gingerly, twirling it around.

'There's nothing. That's so weird, I could've sworn I had...'

Sighing, you shook your head and placed the dagger back in its holder, dispelling the thought you had. You closed your eyes briefly, before opening them again, taking another look around.

'Well, obviously I'm not in Colorado. But...where actually am I? This isn't where I usually start off.'

You pursed your lips. 'Not to mention, the year is nineteen-ninety-nine (1999). Vento Aureo takes place in two-thousand-one (2001), right? That's so weird...'
