Chapter I
World Seeker
The dark black and gray buildings that are dismantled, the smoke regularly present and the survivors who are hiding. The tanks are circling the entire city looking for the rest of the survivors. The roofs half pulverize as well as the cold temperature which enters the poor bodies of the habitants. The wind is soft and warm, the heat is perfect, the best summer here in the city before everything changed. Eclipse is suddenly woken up by Grey opening his door, making a lot of noise. Hole in his little blanket and turn on the heating. They are lucky to have found a house still in pieces. Their father has already gone to work as has their mother so he came to wake him up so he can come eat the lunch he made. Grey is the oldest raccoon brother in the family so he is in charge of taking care of everyone while the parents are gone. Grey looks at Eclipse's room from the door,looks at him then says desperately "Are you serious? Still these papers and drawings” Eclipse looks at him, gets up from his bed still in his pyjamas, stretches a little then takes him out of his room by pushing him out. He closes, bars the squeaky door then begins to get dressed. He puts on his favorite black pants and his favorite black sweater with a little green alien on it. He goes out then runs gently to the kitchen where he sees a plate of pancakes on the table, the best lunch. He takes the plate then finds a note underneath it saying that he can finally listen to TV after 5 years. He opens then watches the first program he sees to eat his beautiful breakfast. Food is rare here, as was electricity, which delighted and warmed Eclipse's heart to finally be able to eat and then listen to TV for all his years. The news keeps talking about the wars, rebellions, everything is chaos. Their world suffers the 4th World War and their mother is a soldier. Their father runs a reality TV company that is dying as the population loses more and more people. Eclipse turns off the TV as fast as possible so as not to even think about what could happen to them if the war doesn't end soon. He's terrified,the idea suppresses his appetite and he will now hurry up and go brush his teeth. He gets up from his brown bitumen colored chair, takes his plate to the sink and heads to the bathroom. Victor and Lidya, the two youngest in the family, fight with the last toilet paper rolls and hurt each other. The fight wakes up Grey's supson. The raccoon was repairing the electrical lines in the garage, The boy is a very good technician so he often repairs everything in the house. He was distracted by the noise falling, breaking his glasses and burning his paws. The suffering was so strong that it made him burst into rage and then made him rush towards the youngest. The sound of footsteps cracking the sturdy ground alerted the children. Grey runs in and scolds them. Nicolas, the teenager's child of the family looking at the scene, being the psychopath and selfish of the family,wanting to do harm and kill everything he sees,throws a small, very sharp knife into the TV, breaking it. The purple-eyed wolf waited for the noise and turned off the old music cassette he had brought with him while he was brushing his teeths. He listens and recognizes the agonies of his big brother. He opened the door at full speed and then conceived the scene. He noticed Grey's paw. "Don't you want to help me a little? At least use your magic?!” shout Grey as he gets attacked by the two youngest. The pain was so big that the raccoon barely felt anything. Eclipse uses his powers. He repaires the TV, put the young childs in their room, reduces the knife to crumbs and brings a plate of berries to Grey, his favorite dish. and all of it in 20 seconds. The raccoon thanks him then Eclipse jumps into the bathroom. A few hours pass then it's time to go to sleep for everyone. Surprisingly, the parents have still not arrived and do not respond to the message and call. Grey puts Nicolas to bed and then Eclipse puts the childrens to bed. He tells them stories, sings them songs then when they finally fall asleep comes back to the living room with Grey. The two sat down on the sofa and then a heavy silence ensued. Eclipse takes the last survival kit from the bathroom and begins to put bandages around Grey's paw as well as medicine. A huge rage against the childrens still runs through Grey's head for what happened. “While the kids are sleeping, I wanted to show you this.” Grey looks at him with so many questions then they continue the discussion. "You know I can travel to different universes, only the family knows otherwise it would be really dramatic! I discovered while I was relaxing that I can see other versions of me in other universes" He really looks at him surprised then says "Its extraordinary! a new power! Can you interact with them?" Eclipse replied no but that he can hear them. He heard in almost every universe rumors that there is apparently some sort of god or king of the multiverse capable of destroying entire universes. Grey looks sad, deep into his eyes ,sighed, "So you think he's the one who killed your family, don't you...?” Eclipse nods slowly saying yes. Grey yawn and replies "Maybe we should continue tomorrow, we have work to do" Eclipse smiled at him and then the two returned to their room. Grey on the basement floor then Eclipse upstairs. Grey will finally be able to sleep and they will make an appointment tomorrow morning at the hospital if they are not all full. He was happy to be able to help him. He looked at several versions of him in several universes hoping to find someone who knew the identity of the king. Instead, he discovered a rumor of a sword capable of killing him, a sword strong and magical enough to disintegrate every version of him in the multiverse. So happy with the news he went to bed and slept poorly and excited to tell his big brother the news. Next morning, he wakes up abruptly but this time Grey yells at him to get up as quickly as possible. “Get dressed, grab a bag, whatever you can and get downstairs quickly!” He starts to panic and hurries away. He puts the same clothes as yesterday out of fear even if it's not that clean. But also food and anything that could help them. Dust vibrates when hitting the floor, fog hides their sight, smoke and fire approach making them suffocate and screams making everyone panic can be heard. He runs down the stairs and asks what is going on. Grey pulls him and runs to the garage. Grey's black and brown car that their father had given him for Christmas, the most expensive car in town. The gas is full and no damage has been done, this will be the first time it leaves the garage. The children are seated in the back just like the teenager. They are being careful not to pile on the electrical lines that Grey has not yet repaired because of last time. Eclipse and Grey move towards the wheel. Grey opens the garage door by pressing a red button on the car,drives very fast and leaves the garage as well as the house. Eclipse finally sees and understands. What he thought was happening, the war has reached this point. Eclipse takes a good look at whether the children are properly attached to their bench. The young people start to cry and Eclipse tries to reassure them. The car is going so fast that the green hair of the raccoon and the blue hair of the wolf are about to fly away. Soldiers running, bombs exploding, screams and gunshots. They try to find their mother, Who was certainly among these soldiers. The car takes several detours hoping not to hit anyone or have an accident. The children are more and more worried, they are crying. Eclipse takes his stuffed cat that he kept from last time from his bag and gives it to the childs, He says to them that they need to give him a big hug and they will protect them. He turns back and a strange, blinding light shot a ball of fire straight at the back of the car causing them to crash into a wall. The car started turning and turning. It crashes more and more then hits a rock which stops it. The car was disfigured and upside down. The boy, knocked out by the fractures, woke up little by little. A huge fire was about to break out. It almost touched their paws little by little as well as their faces. Eclipse tries to look and turn his head but his eyes blur and his head hurts. He comes off his seat belt and hangs around until he gets out of the car. The windows are breaking and the pieces are melting more as time passes because of the spreading fire. He gets up and tries to stay standing despite wanting to pass out. He feels like he's going to cry but nothing comes out. His heart hurts and he can't get up. He hears explosions and screams. His memories finally come back and he remembers. "It's not the war, it's him.. The king" Eclipse said to himself. He walks and tries to stay on his two feet. little by little he manages to walk to Grey's coast. He hit the door where Grey was with all his strength but he's too weak. He doesn't understand what's happening, “maybe i'm dying?” he said to himself, panicking. He finally tore the door open, unties Grey and then pulls him towards him. Grey is asleep from the shock but still alive. Eclipse was hoping he would still be here to help i'm with the childrens but he's not. He pulls him away from the car with all his strength and tries to go back and get the children. As he pulls the door and tries to pull Victor out,the car explodes and knocks him out of the car. His left leg and arm were burned to the flesh in the explosion. He gets out pieces of metal directly in the stomach then finally passes out because of his injury. He feels himself flying away, emptiness. He no longer feels anything. All was black screen for him. Suddenly, he feels his body fall towards the ground, his heart beating and panic. He wakes up in a clinic room. It's like a white lightning slapped him very fast. He looks around, chairs, tables, white walls and other things but he looks at the clock. 7 hours have passed since the explosion. It was now night, he tried to move and get up but it didn't work. He calls people but no one comes or answers. He rolls over and falls to the ground. It hurts him but he continues. He notices that he is wearing a blue and white jacket as well as bandages all over the wounds he suffered in the explosion. Someone probably found him and took him to the hospital. He finally manages to get back on his two legs and opens the door. Lots of people walking in the hallways, lots of people dying being brought here. He runs through the corridors looking for Grey. It's like an endless maze. The boy finally finds a window big enough to see what's happening. They are in a building built for survivors. The building is built on top of the famous and popular "Welcome To Puppy" restaurant. The restaurant has become very popular for their famous apple pie. The majority of other houses or buildings are reduced to dust or destroyed. The army are attacking something but he can't see what it is but he knows it's the king. He wants to collapse on the ground. He losted the only family he had left for the second time. Just when he thought he lost everything, someone gives him a Hug. Eclipse recognizes Grey's famous gray and beige paws “GREY!” Eclipse shouted. So happy, Eclipse can no longer control his joy and cries in his arms. The raccoon too, delighted to see his friend again, loses words and cries. Grey has a bandage on his paw and head. The injuries were from the explosion. The explosion was so strong that it managed to injure him too. Grey invites him to follow him to the top floor to eat delicious pie at “Welcome To Puppy” and talk about what happened. The elevators no longer work so they will have to take the stairs. Of course, Eclipse follows his brother to not lose himself. The building were 10 big buildings with the restaurant but together. Arriving at the restaurant they ordered 2 pies, a fruit dish for Grey and water to wash down his food. They sit on a large round, red table with some cousins and care kits if necessary. Even though the waitress told him that the food was already washed, he dips his fruit in a water cup then rubs it between his two paws. Eclipse got used to it and the only one in the family not to do this, starts asking him several questions like "Where are the children?" “Are you okay?” or all kinds of questions. Grey stop eating,doesn't answer him and takes out his stuffed animal that he had given to the child from his pocket. Eclipse notices his brother's tears slowly falling down his face then Grey says "They didn't survive" Grey had woken up at 5 o'clock by mistake and one of the doctors who took care of him had confirmed the death of the children. Eclipse feels empty inside then starts to cry but hides his face for fear of being seen. Grey gets up, gives him a hug then begs him not to cry, that everything will be okay.Even if he too wanted to crash on the ground and start crying like a baby should be there for his little brother. Eclipse cuddles very strongly in his arms, the plush. Tears flows onto the half-burnt plush toy, full of holes and dry blood. Now the blood of even more people flows on the king's back. An inexplicable rage engulfes the young man. He wants to find this sword now. He feels his hair move, the wind cooled his tears and a silence sets in the room. Even if not a bunch of people were here at this hour, the one presents looked at Eclipse crying is soul out. He's mad at the parents that were not there. Soldiers broke down the front door as well as the silence and many began to scream. They took survivors, the injured, the sick, the dead and dying soldiers into the base. It is then that Eclipse and Grey realize that their mother is there starting to calming them a little bit. It's already too late, while their hope came back a car crashes into the restaurant crushing around thirty people as well as soldiers. The woman which was the last soldier still alive, was lucky to not be dead,the car brushes against her. The hole made it possible to see the famous light in the sky, the king. Now Eclipse finally has confirmation that it's the king who came to destroy their world. Lilla then realized that her 2 boy are there too. She also heard the news and shed her tears. She doesn't want to lose any more of her children. The mother asks everyone loudly to calm down and go hide, take out her rifle and she throws a bomb towards the light which explodes. Unfortunately no damage was done. Purple luminous balls begin to fall onto the building like asteroids. Several balls hit several people, charring their bodies with terrible suffering but no sound was coming out of them. A ball flew towards the two boys but the mother runs, jumps then pushes her two boys from it. Unfortunately by doing this act it was she who took the fireballs,melting her entire abdomen. Dying with terrible suffering in front of Grey and Eclipse she could finally die as a hero knowing that she will join her kids and saved her 2 amazing big boy. Eclipse takes his brother terrorized by fear and lays him on the ground as well as him. The light balls continue to hit harder and harder then suddenly stop. Tears come out of Grey's eyes and Eclipse focuses on their survival. Everyone in the room is dead except the two boys. Grey didn't want to move and discreet tears finally fell. He hid his mouth so as not to make any noise.. Eclipse gave him his stuffed animal back to calm him. then got up to see if the light was still there. He looks but sees nothing, no noise, no light. The base was destroyed or so he thinks. If there are any survivors, someone will come and see. The idea of looking at his mother terrifies him. Even though she wasn't there often and she wasn't even his real mother, he loved her so much. Grey looking at her burst into tears and couldn't even breathe anymore. Eclipse runs to him to reassure him but in the end both of them start crying loudly. As their bodies begin to empty their tears, an earthquake begins to be felt. The two look at each other and run out of the building by the hole to find whoever did this. An explosion erupts but it's so huge that even they from afar can see it. It forms a cloud of fire so powerful that everyone who found it would eventually disintegrate to the point of death. They understood that it would eventually envelop the entire planet and kill everyone. Eclipse is not capable of mastering his powers, he does not know how he did it to cross from one universe to another like when he was little. Had come out of fear. Even though he is terrified, nothing happens. He knelt down with Grey and then gave him a big hug. He apologizes for all the times he had stolen his fruit, all the tricks he had done to him then Grey replies "It's okay Eclipse, Being with you was the best thing I have done since”. The end was soon here for them and they could finally be at peace and not live with all these deaths. They give each other a hug with all their strength and mourn their fall. As they were about to die, a portal in the shape of a luminous and purple circle was formed where they put their paws. They felt in it. As if they are in a void for some minutes. There is no sound, they can’t talk, can’t move, then finally they see light. They fall onto dark green grass and mud. They are all dirty because of the mud but Eclipse has finally success. The portail closes back before the fire comes too, locking them in a new universe knowing that everyone they loved was dead. Eclipse is happy to have succeeded, reflecting everything they just lost and Grey begins to cry and hits the ground with rage and sadness..
