Zhehan was reading patiently in his room, lying in his wide bed. The softness of the high-quality silk underneath him provided a comfortable feeling for sleep.

However, restlessness and uncertainty plagued him, causing him to toss and turn on top of the bed. The reason behind his unease was a story he had spent the whole day reading on his phone screen.

Engrossed in the narrative, he had lost track of time.

He had worked tirelessly for three months to earn a week of paid vacation from his boss, even though he didn't have any specific plans for his time off. He simply wanted a week to himself, free from any obligations or concerns.

This was his moment to breathe

The weather was cold, despite it being summer. It felt as if an icy presence had taken hold of the sky, bringing a chill to the air.

Zhehan could run a thousand miles without worrying about heatstroke, but he had to be cautious of the cold instead.

The outside world was chilly, with the wind entering his apartment almost as cold as ice. Instead of venturing out, Zhehan decided to relax on his bed and indulge in the story he had left unread the previous day.

He started reading without any particular reason, only to become captivated by the narrative. Amusement was written across his face as he delved deeper into the tale.

However, he soon realized that the book had been marked as completed, yet the ending was confusing. It left him unsatisfied, with unanswered questions lingering in his mind.

Unable to move on, Zhehan buried himself in the comfort of his satin sheets. Frustrated, he scolded the author in his thoughts for leading such a promising story to have a perplexing ending.

Stressed once again, he decided to listen to music as a means to relieve his tension. It was his go-to method for stress relief. Lately, he had been obsessed on creating a song and listening to it.

He listened to it every day and night. At night he record it and post it on social platform but he always covered his face to conceal his identity incase of his family might recognize him.

He stood up from his bed and walked towards the wall with a mirror displayed on it. Taking a deep breath, he looked at his reflection, recalling the events that had led him to this point.

"Zhehan! Do you think you're strong enough to stand on your own? To support yourself? Don't make such silly remarks about wanting to stand alone. This is your destiny, and nothing more!" his father had exclaimed.

Zhehan, who was standing just inches from the door, took a deep breath and spoke without looking back at his father. "I can and I will show you all what I'm capable of. I won't be a child enduring mockery anymore. As an heir and the next in line, I will prove that I can move forward without relying on family influence."

With those words, he stormed out of the door without looking back. All he could hear were his mother's cries and his father's angry curses trailing behind him.

Now, it had been two years since that moment. Living a commoner's life had been exhausting for Zhehan, but he had also discovered many shortcomings that had turned into valuable life lessons. Thankfully, during those two years, he had managed to survive and even gained recognition from his boss, something he had always desired.

Living in chaos every day, working tirelessly, cooking, and taking care of himself made him feel alone. However, he still believed that this simple life was better. Maybe, just maybe, living a mundane life every day was not a bad choice.

Currently on his fifth day of vacation leave, Zhehan had only two days remaining to savor his happiness. He couldn't help but feel that his happiness would soon come to an end. To distract himself, he decided to go for a walk outside.

Surprisingly, he had spent his fifth day in his room reading a story, which was unexpected for someone who wasn't particularly fond of books.

Usually, Zhehan grew bored easily, losing interest after just reading the cover. However, this particular book had managed to captivate him.

He was surprised by his own ability to read the entire book, even though the ending was unsatisfying. Nonetheless, he didn't regret reading it. After all, it was a truly engaging story.

His week-long leave had passed by in the blink of an eye, and he was now back at work right after it.

His desk was filled with piles of paperwork, tempting him to burn them into unnecessary pieces one by one. He swore that if something would pull him away from those things, he would not fight back and even take it as a treasure.

Zhehan walked towards his boss's office, his heart pounding with anticipation. He knocked on the door and waited for his boss to invite him in.

After a moment, he slowly opened the door.

To his surprise, there were no piles of paper on his boss's desk. Zhehan smiled inwardly, hiding his relief for a moment.

His eyes then landed on a man standing at the center of the room.

The man hadn't turned his back to acknowledge Zhehan's presence yet, seemingly indifferent to his arrival. However, there was something captivating about the man's presence, and Zhehan couldn't help but admire his back.

Suppressing his momentary delight, Zhehan approached his boss's desk and greeted the director, asking about the reason for being summoned. His boss smiled and pointed towards the man standing next to him.

"Train him," his boss said, and Zhehan's curiosity piqued.
