Church's Toll

The Church bells tolled
For nine departed souls,
While they prayed to their father above
Contemplating their bounty of love,

The Son of hate
Sat and waited.
On issues of faith
He debated.
Their hands in love and friendship he shook
When he departed, nine lives he took.
A number of wives he took.

Again the church bell tolls;
The lingering sound helping to make us whole.
It resonates and echoes awaking memories of the past.
A legacy that did not last.

The casualties of a battle of hate and love
Into the earth they are laid to rest
As tears falls from above
Filled with forgiveness
Filled with Love.
