An archive of stuff I'm redrawing from back when I was first learning and posting online. I'll try to remember as much as I can, and hopefully entertain y'all in the process.
Hey, I'm Roo (or Maroon or Beth, I've gone by a few names online). I got into art by posting on this account back when I was in middle school, around 2016 (please don't do the math). At time of writing this intro, I'm a college student getting my Bachelor's in Studio Art, and I thought it would be fun to redo some of my first (bad) art pieces, most of which having been posted here! The originals hold a special place in my heart, despite the obvious cringe; making and sharing them really was some of the most fun I had in middle school, and I look back fondly on it. So I figure it's only fitting to give them an update!
To kick this off, I have one of my first digital drawings ever, of my childhood character, Copper. (There's probably gonna be a lot of her in this book.)

My girl has had a redesign! Don't really include her in much anymore, but this project gives me an excuse to change that.
That's gonna be all from me, for now. Updates are gonna be sporadic; I'm busy most of my time, as adulting does, but I do genuinely want to continue this. I'm hoping I'll be able to keep at it, and I hope y'all will stick around with me!
