Chapter 1: Introductions

POV: Ashley Madden

I stretch and slowly but surely get out of my bed. My name is Ashley Madden, the princess of Bloomhaven, a place where fields burst with endless blossoms, and where spring is eternal. This is the place I call home, along with many others. Including my brother, William Madden or just Will for short, my mother and father, my lady in waiting; Lily and all my friends and loyal subjects. I hear a knock on my door making me snap out of my thoughts. 

"Coming!" I called, I ran over to my door and pulled it open. "My utmost apologies your highness but we must get ready, you have school today, may I come in?" "Yes, yes of course you can come in Lily. Do you want me to do your makeup and outfit today or are you already ready?" I ask, I usually get Lily dressed in the mornings, it's my gift to her for everything she does for me. "Um, well whatever you think, your majesty." Lily responds, I roll my eyes at the title. 

"Lily, please don't call me something like that, for you I am just Ashley and I just want you to see me as your friend. Okay?" Lily nods, "But if you want me to stop using those titles then get ready, come on we're going to be late." 

"Okay I'll be right back." I said running into my huge closet. I find this short and cute baby blue dress with a low neckline, and then I find a pair of matching blue heels. I almost walk out of my closet but then I remember that I am getting Lily ready as well. So I turn back around and find a light grey dress with black flats. The dress has a higher neckline and the shoes have little bows on them. I quickly grab everything I just picked out and I run back to Lily, 

"Here's your dress and shoes, now I have to do makeup." I grab my makeup bag and do a cute light grey natural makeup look for Lily, then for me I do a pink eye shadow with baby pink lipstick and all the rest is just natural makeup. 

"Okay Lily go get changed and then I'll do your hair." I said, Lily nods and heads to the bathroom in my room and while she does that I get dressed and for my hair I do a cute high ponytail. I look around for Lily but she isn't here yet so I pull out my phone and start scrolling on Instagram. A few minutes later Lily walks out looking glamorous, 

"You look good." I said. "Yeah well thanks, but we must really be going now." I nod, and quickly brush her hair and put it in a normal braid. We walk out the door and down the hall, but we have to stop for my annoying brother. 

"Will, we're going to go, hurry up!" I screamed from the other side of his door, "Okay, calm down." Will screamed back. Will came out a second later wearing a blue shirt with grey shorts, "Wow we match." Will said, "That's great, but come on we're going to be late, and on your first day too." Lily said, 

"Okay." Will responded, we all got in my dads limo and headed off to school. During the ride, we talked and played a few games. Then the limo driver, Andy I think his name was, pulled into the big high school parking lot. 

Our school is only for the rich, or as my parents say, and it's called Rosemary High School. I thanked the driver and hopped out of the car, I grabbed my stuff and walked in the building, people started looking at me, I just ignored them. 

Nobody knew that I was the princess, they just thought I was pretty or something I don't even know at this point. I check my schedule, "Hey what do you guys have for the first period?" I ask, I had pre algebra, I'm okay at it, but it's definitely not my favourite. "I have theatre." Lily said, "And I also have theatre." Will said, 

"Okay, that's great I'm alone, well see you guys at lunch I guess." I sadly waved goodbye and headed to room 223, the pre algebra classroom. Once I got there no one was around, so I looked back at my checklist, and it said that I should be here by now.
