The Art of Life by Natt Barnabé
Like dipping a brush into paint
Life is wet with color
Sometimes it can black and white
But you can make use of that tooThe primaries, the secondaries
The tertiaries, the noirs
You have many options
To draw something as bright as a starWhen life becomes dark, gray seems fitting
When life becomes bright, yellow is to use
An emotion for a shade
A feeling to match a hueBut the easel looks blank
And you know it won’t fill itself
You haven’t these tools to waste
You haven’t this life as a mistakeYou’ll feel it get dreary
You’ll want to paint a storm
But like every one of those
Like the wind away they blowThere’ll be a sun
Because you’ll shine many times
There’ll be parts of nature
Because you’ll grow organicallyTherefore, paint a masterpiece
Make it worth your time
Because when you put the brush down
You’ll see what you’ve done is just fine
