Chapter 1- Leave

SOPHIA'S POV

One...

Two...

Three...

Three knocks.

I got three knocks at my condo's door late at night, it's raining hard and it's very dark outside.

Fuck it, who the hell is outside?

I opened the door only to find Xavi, his hair is soaking wet and so is his clothes. He has a lot of cuts on his face with bruises on his body and blood coming down from his arm.

"Hey?" he smirks before entering the room without asking for permission.

"Wha-" he cut me off

"Hey! Hey! Before scolding me, can you please bandage me up?"

Kapal naman nito, eh siya itong pumasok na lang bigla.

"Tell me first what happened" I said before getting some bandage from my cabinet

"I got jumped by a bunch of guys...but don't worry I take them down" he smiles and walks closer to me. "Now, can you bandage me up?"

"Didn't I tell you not to get into fights?" I scolded him.

"I'm sorry, I promise it won't happen again" I heard him sighs before turning his back from me. "I'm a little tired though, can I sleep here?"

"Sino ba kasing may sabi sayo na makipag away ka?" tanong ko dahilan para manahimik siya ng panandalian.

"I can't just sit around and let people insult you! They're fvcking badmouthing you and you think I will allow it?!" He faced me and as soon as I saw him, I started to panic. His eyes are bloodshot.

"I didn't ask you to defend me, Xavi! That rumor has nothing to do with you"

"I just...can't stand it when people are badmouthing you" bulong niya pero sapat lang para marinig ko.

"Just ignore them okay? I'm not even bothered about it, so please Xavi"

"Are you? You fvcking didn't talk to me for weeks after that incident. Even your friends can't reach you"

"Let's talk tomorrow, you can sleep at the guest room" I said before going to my room, leaving him behind.

That incident...

It's been a month since then. I was caught cheating on my midterm examination. I didn't want to cheat but I don't have a choice.

I don't want to disappoint my parents but I ended up disappointing them more.

Simula ng mangyari 'yon ay nagkulong lang ako sa bahay. I turned my phone off so people wont disturb me, they will just pity me and I don't want it.

Days after that I got expelled. Well, what should I expect? It's against the rules. Cheating is not a good choice.

I wanted to forget everything but seeing Xavi get into fights again because of that issue brings everything to me.

Xavier Klein Flores, he was my bestfriend since Senior High School. We both took Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics as our strand and both ended up taking Civil Engineering as our program in College. I thought I will do well in this program, I'm confident because I'm good in mathematics but College humbled me.
