So pretty much I have a best friend that I've known for 2 years (calling him J) and our entire  friendship people have been saying we like each other because we're both teenagers and he's a guy I'm a girl and I didn't believe them because I don't like him so I figured he doesn't like me either but recently I went on a trip to Branson Missouri which is a 7-hour drive and the entire time he was texting me which is normal we text all the time but who's saying stuff like I can't wait till you get back cuz I miss you so much and I sent him a selfie and he's like you're so pretty and I sent to another selfie and he's like you're so hot like I would say like back to him I'd be like thanks dude and he'd be like anytime and then I got home the next day I called him because he told me to call him when I got home but I was feeling really uncomfortable talking to him so I didn't and then he said that guys didn't like when you call them guy because bro be it makes them feel like they'll never get oit of the friend zone I straight up said you aren't and then I said and you don't want to get out of friend zone and he said I'm not going to answer that and I pretended like I didn't hear him and then a few hours later still on the same phone call he said you're hot and I pretended like I didn't hear him so I was like what and he was like you're hot and I was like what and he's like you're hot and I hung up and texted him sorry bad connection

UPDATE: so on April 19th my dad called me outside and so I went outside and he said that J was spreading rumors that my dad was a fake Christian and on drugs (he's not) and my dad said I couldn't talk to J but my mom said i could because we should forgive him but i hadnt texted him until today april 30th and I said "can you please come to youth group I miss you and I really have to talk to you about something there's Tacos" and he said he'd ask his mom
