I stand tall in front of my clan. I look each of them in the eye.
"Moonleaf will be the deputy."
"and, everyone please know something. I have not followed my grandfathers paw steps. I have made my own paw steps. please do think of me as the cat who never followed her grandfather prints. truth to be told, I could have never. one: I am a she-cat. and this does not even matter!"
"It does not matter who your parents are, you are your own cat and you will make paw steps in your own amazing way. you are you and that's all that matters. I will protect you with my life. lives. I have nine happy lives to share with all of you. and when I am done I know that this clan will become better and stronger because of firestar. his line stops now. I will never have kits because all of you have put jumps higher then I could ever jump. please don't think a cat can do something great because of there parents."
"Moonleaf, will you lead our clan when I am gone, will you stand by our clan though the good times and bad? will you give your life to our clan?"
moonflower responds with a steady never changing voice.
"I will die for this clan. I do."
I smile. and stand. "you may all go back to whatever you were doing. moonleaf will oraganise patrols."
