Evelyn POV:
"Evelyn come on we can't keep Kenny waiting!" Mum shouted from down stairs. "Coming!" I replied while grabbing my skates and racing down the stairs.
After a short walk we arrived at the rink. I laced up my skates, made sure my hair was tight enough in the braided bun I did and stepped onto the ice. But as soon as I did I was pulled into a hug by my best friend and figure skating partner Ken Wu. Last year me and Ken competed in the Olympics and won all of our categories. "Evie, you're finally here, took you long enough." He said as we pulled apart. "Ken, 1) I live ten minutes away 2) you got here like five minutes ago and 3) I'm ten minutes early, so let's warm up." I replied.
After we had warmed up, Coach Carter entered but not alone. Instead she was with a man and a woman. "Ken, Evelyn meet Don Tibbles and Alison Baxter there here to see you skate." She told us. "Alright can we please practice all of your duets."
We did this first for warm ups and then we got serious.
Then we did our solos
After practice mum got a call saying that they want me and Kenny to be on team USA hockey and figure Skating!!!
