RECAP: Throughout the days leading up to Gideon's Birthday Party, he had been flirting with Matthew, causing him to freak out and not want to be alone with Gideon, afraid something may come from it.

"Hey, Matty?" he spoke up.

Matthew turned to face him, his curiosity piqued. "Yeah?"

"Do you want to stay in my room tonight and watch anime?" Gideon asked, his tone surprisingly sweet and wholesome.

Matthew's cheeks flushed crimson, his nerves prickling as he nodded in response. Despite his inner turmoil and the lingering unease from the earlier altercation with Gideon, he found himself unable to decline the invitation. With Gideon's party in shambles, he felt compelled to acquiesce, even if it meant spending the night with Gideon. "Yeah... sure," he stammered, his voice betraying his anxiety.

With that, the two of them headed off to Gideon's room, leaving the events of the tumultuous party behind them, if only for the night.

. . .

Gideon and Matthew entered Gideon's room, where Gideon audibly sighed, reflecting on the tumultuous events of the night, particularly Scott's betrayal of Ramona. While he found some irony in the situation, the ruined party due to Scott and Wallace's antics was far from amusing. However, he found solace in Matthew's agreement to watch anime together.

Despite this, Gideon couldn't shake off the worry that Lucas might be upset with him for derogatory remarks towards Todd upon learning he was gay. Yet, he held onto hope that their rift would heal, and Lucas would eventually forgive him..

As they entered, Gideon smoothly slipped off his white coat, hanging it on the coat rack. Turning to Matthew, who stood uncertain by the door, he chuckled awkwardly. "You can take off your jacket," he suggested, before announcing his intention to change. "I'll be back shortly. Feel free to put on an anime. The DVDs are under the TV unit. Choose whatever series you like," he added with a wave of his hand, disappearing into his bedroom to change.

Emerging in a tank top and baggy sweatpants, Gideon appeared petite, lacking much muscle but exuding a certain charm. The casual attire softened his usual demeanour, giving him a more endearing, nerdy look. This wasn't the imposing Gideon Graves; this was Gordan Goose, and it was utterly adorable.

As Gideon emerged from his room, Matthew's awkward smile faltered slightly as he caught sight of him. While he had been sorting through the DVDs, his attention was now completely drawn to Gideon's appearance. His cheeks flushed as he took in the sight, feeling a sense of vulnerability wash over him. Swallowing nervously, he managed to speak, albeit shakily. "You look... different," he murmured, his words betraying the turmoil of his thoughts.

Gideon chuckled at Matthew's comment and joined him, kneeling beside him to pick out one of his favourite anime DVDs. "You took too long, so I'm picking!" he teased, popping the chosen DVD into the player.

Matthew nervously stood up, his hands clasped tightly in front of him, visibly tense.

Feeling a pang of guilt, Gideon noticed Matthew's discomfort. They should have stopped by his room so Matthew could change out of his tight suit. However, now that they were here, Gideon saw no point in leaving.

"You can get changed if you like. I probably have some clothes you can wear," Gideon offered, noticing Matthew's discomfort. "You look uncomfortable," he pointed out gently.

Matthew nodded eagerly, relieved at the prospect of shedding the uncomfortable suit for something more comfortable.

Gideon gently approached Matthew, placing his hands on his shoulders and smoothly guiding the jacket off. He hung it on the coat hook, leaving Matthew in his red shirt, black tie, and pants, a look that Gideon couldn't help but find adorable.
