I fear that which has yet to afflict me.
I fear that which has yet to distress me.I fear the heart, and its tendency to love.
I fear the tongue, and its tendency to hate.I fear the day I am exposed,
As one deserving nothing but judgement.
I fear the day I am laid bare,
As one worthy of nothing but contempt.I fear the pain of losing her tender affection.
I fear the loss of her warm gaze.So I spend my nights in feverish terror.
That one day I will forever lose her presence, and her fervor.*
