Growing up, the two brothers were close. They shared many memories, but as they got older, their differences drove a wedge through their relationship. Sirius couldn't understand why Regulus was so uptight and mysterious, while Regulus couldn't fathom why Sirius was so reckless and impulsive.
Their parents had high expectations for their sons. They wanted them to follow in their footsteps and become a powerful and respected members of the wizarding world. However Sirius had interest in fulfilling their parents expectations. He wanted to experience new things and make his own path.
