Warnings; Mentions of current and past homelessness, swearing, descriptions of blood, descriptions of wounds. I am not an ER nurse! so I did my best, but I'm not an expert. I am but a girl with google. If I missed anything, let me know! Each chapter will have it's own warnings.

Proof read but it's 3am so don't quote me on that.

The lock clicks quietly, and I look down the hallway one more time to make sure nobody is coming before I pull my bobby pin out and push open the door.

I close the door quietly behind me, looking around the dark office at suitcases, briefcases, and boxes all haphazardly stacked up and marked for shipping. I make my way over, popping open one of the unlocked cases and looking inside. Our largest syringes line the inside, and the other boxes and suitcases hold the exact medical equipment and drugs I had reported as suspicious orders to my higher-ups. They came back each time telling me I had made a false report, this last time telling me to 'mind my business'.

A small chime sounds from the computer across the room, lighting up a corner as the screen turns on. I glance at the door as I make my way to the computer. I put in the password, watching the welcome screen loading with very little guilt. It wasn't hard to guess my boss's password, and I wanted to know what he was doing with all the stuff he's ordering way too many extras of.

An email from Norman Osborne himself pops up on the screen. I click on it quickly, my eyes scanning the bright screen as I read the letter from Mr.Osborne, titled 'Electric'. All it had was coordinates. No greeting, no sign-off, nothing but a string of numbers leading to an unknown location.

I grab a pen next to me, writing the numbers down on my wrist as quickly as I can. If these match up with the address on the boxes ready to be shipped then-

The door opens, and I have no time to go anywhere before my boss looks at me, a scowl on his face as he motions for the security guard behind him to remove me.

"Ms. Crow, you know very well you are not supposed to be in my office." He places his hands behind him, standing tall as he watches the security guard walk over to me. "You're fired. I expect you off this property in the next 10 minutes."

"Oh, fuck off Harold." The security guard grabs my arms, leading me out of the room as my boss stares at me, the scowl never leaving. "Someone will figure out what you're doing, you aren't smart enough to keep it a secret."

"And you aren't smart enough to disable all the cameras," He points to a small lens in the corner of the room, a small, nasty smirk growing on his face. Shit, I knew I missed one.

He slams the door as I'm escorted out into the hallway, the security guard letting me go and leading me to the front door to make sure I leave. He's a nice guy, always made me feel safe when I had to work the night shift. The ER at night is always a little spooky, but he kept me good company.

Now, he's being slightly less friendly.

I'm home by the time the sun is setting, staring at the unfinished coordinates written on my wrist as I stand in front of the kitchen sink. My scrubs from work lie in a small pile on top of my full laundry basket, and I'm already in sweatpants. At least I'll have more time for PJs now that I'm not working 12-hour shifts at the ER every night.

My laptop chimes from the counter beside me, and I turn back to the screen, an email popping up confirming my termination from the hospital. I groan, or, scream, in frustration, sighing as I plop my head in my hands. What am I going to do? I finished my certification two months ago. Two years of working in the ER to finally get certified, and I just couldn't mind my business. Maybe it's just time for something else.
