Chapter 1 - The meeting.

Mia's pov:

Im laying on the couch. Thinking how things happened. I'm now 18 and i have to get a job. I don't think i will go to college, anything would be.. fine..

Someone knocks on my door

"Come in."

"Mia.. im planning to marry Tom, he's gonna be your stepfather, he also has a son, Olivier. They will be here at 6 so prepare."

Im kinda shocked. Nevertheless it will be fun having a brother.

"Okay"

I change into something more official and some hours pass by. I hear a ring and here they come.

I see a 35-38 years old guy, he is Tom, and behind him there's.. Oliver.. wow.. he is same age as me?

We greet and we sit at a dinner. He sits next to me.

"You're Mia, right?"

"Yuhh, Oliver?

"Mhm. Can you show me around after we eat?"

"Ok"

We eat dinner. I whisper to my mom asking where oliver room is.

"Oh. He's gonna sleep with you."

"HUH"

"It's okay sweetie. Just for a week. We're gonna change the little room at attic into his room."

Dosen't change much.

"Okay.."

We finish dinner and i start showing him around. It's now up to my room.

"Uhh so my mom said we need to sleep in the same room"

His eyes kinda widen but then he smiles a bit and says

"It's fine. Im gonna sleep on the floor."

I kinda get sad how im treating my future stepbrother.

"You can sleep on the bed."

"Nah im fine."

"Alright then.."

After a while we kinda talk to each other. It's 11 PM and i go sleep.

"Goodnight, Oli."

"Goodnight mia"

I cant sleep, there is another man sleeping in my room.. on the floor.. i decide to glare at him, he is changing positions every 10 seconds, it's obvious he's uncomfortable for him.

I touch him in his back.

"Oliver i see you cant sleep, just sleep on the bed okay?"

"Mia thanks for your kindness but i refused alerady"

"If you won't lay here im gonna sleep on the floor."

"Ughh okay."

Works everytime.

He lays on the bed but we're not close to each other. We keep distance.

It's gonna be an interesting night.
