Chapter 1 The Boy in the woods

It was just a very normal day for me. My name is Solana Talbot I had just finished cleaning my house and I decided to go for a walk in the woods before supper time. I told Singh to tell my oldest son Lawrence where I was going.

I heard a wolf howling. Wolves howling is nothing new to me because I hear them howling all of the time. Then I heard someone scream. I ran to see what was going on.

When I got to where I heard the wolf howling and the sound of someone screaming. I saw something that had chilled me to the bone and made my blood run ice cold.

I saw a young boy laying on the ground badly wounded. He looked like he had been attacked by something. I knew that I had to get him back to my home and try to save his young life.

I tried to reach out to my son Lawrence and his friend Chavez. But they did not respond to my desperate messages.

I picked the young boy up in my arms and carried him back to my home. Singh helped me get the young boy into bed.

I began to doctor his wounds and I talked to him and sang to him. I prayed that he would be alright and he would pull through.

Later that night the young boy had woke  up scared and frightened. I calmed him down and eased his fears. I told him that my name is Solana Talbot.

He told me that his name is William H Bonney aka Billy the Kid and that he was an orphan.

The next morning I had adopted him for my son. Young William H Bonney you are not an orphan anymore and welcome to the Talbot family.
