Nezuko

In the past couple days I've regained my energy back and the cut on my shoulder is mostly healed. Apparently I was the first to wake up, everyone else is still critically injured.

I soon learnt the sleeping girl in the bed beside me was kanao, aoi's younger sister. When aoi wasn't off helping injured slayer or cooking she was at kanao's side, it was clear that she was sad and no matter what i tried to do nothing seemed to help.

"Would you like some help" I asked walking into the kitchen where aoi was cooking

"Your a patient, this is my job" she replied not looking up from what she's doing

"You said it yourself I'm fully healed now, so how can I be a patient" I insisted "come on, just let me help. Your over working yourself"

"I'm fine" she mumbled

"I bet kanao would hate to see you like this"

She stopped for a moment before saying quietly "fine, can you cut up those potatoes over there"

"Can do!" I said cheerfully trying to get aoi to have the same energy, it didn't help tho

I walked over to the bag of potatoes and grabbed one placing it on the cutting board, grabbing a knife and started cutting it up into small cubes.

"Your good at this" she commented

"Yeah, well my mother taught me how to cook at an early age" I told her "She always thought it was a essential life skill she would say that you never know if your gonna end up on your own so have to be able to take care of yourself"

"She seems like a wise woman"

"She was and so kind too" I mentioned "I still can't believe she's gone"

"I'm sorry nezuko" she said sympathetic

"It's fine, I'm fine" I said hastily trying to put my smile back on

"You know I lost my mother when I was quite young too" she said "I promise it'll get better"

"Nezuko come play with us!" Naho said running up to me shortly followed by kiyo and sumi.

"Sure, what did you want to play" I replied kind of excited since its been quite boring staying in the butterfly mansion

"We're playing tig" sumi said confidently before kiyo ran up to me and tiged me and ran of to the garden with the other two girls. I proceeded to chase after them into the garden and started running around without shoes on in the grass.

After a couple minutes I was eventually able to catch up to Naho before I fell to the ground laughing "your it!" who knew tig would be so much fun

"But how I'm too fast" Naho replied

When I looked back I realized that it was only me kiyo and Naho in the garden now " do you two know where sumi went?" I asked

"Huh? I didn't even realize she was gone" kiyo replied.

"You two stay here I'll go look for her inside" I said getting up of the ground and walking back into the estate.

Eventually I heard two familiar voices so I decided to listen in from around the corner.

"Why won't you come play with us, aoi"

"I'm far to busy right now"

"You're always to busy for us"

"I'm sorry, maybe another time" after that I heard footsteps walking away

I came out from around the corner to the sight of sumi who was nearly in tears. I walked up to the little girl and hugged her.

"She always says that, but another time never comes" she said between sobs, holding me tightly

"I'm sorry sumi"

"She use to play with us all the time" she said "does she hate us?"

"Of Course not, she's just super busy at the moment" I told her "and she's worried about kanao"

I sat there for a couple minutes crouched on the floor while sumi cried.

"Is kanao gonna die?"

"No she'll be fine, don't worry"

"How can you be sure"

"Kanao is one of the strongest people I know, trust me she's gonna keep fighting" I told sumi

"Sumi!" I turned around to see Naho and kiyo running up to us before the both ran to hug sumi

"Why did you leave" kiyo asked who was clearly worried about her

"I just needed to get a drink" sumi lied "who's it now?"

"You!" Naho said before tigging sumi and running off with kiyo following. sumi looked up at me with a sweet smile before joining the two other little girls. It made me miss my family so much more

"Whatcha doin" I jumped at the sudden deep voice behind me before turning and realizing it was just inosuke.

"Where did you come from, I thought you were still in a coma" I said

"What's a coma, can I eat it!?" He asked

"It's where you sleep for a really long time"

"Oh yeah I'm not sleeping now"

"I can tell" I laughed

"I'm hungry" he told me

"Let's go find aoi so she can make sure your not dying" I said

"Will there be food?"

"Probably"

"Then let's go!" He said before running down the hallway

"Well he seems fine" aoi said checking his heart rate "do you have any pain inosuke?"

"No" he replied "can I get some food now?"

"I'll go see if we have anything in the kitchen. stay here don't move" she said before walking out the room

Couple moments later she came back in with a tray of food and placed it on inosukes bed "eat this and don't bother me, I'm really busy" she then turned to me and said "keep an eye on him" before leaving the room

turning to inosuke who was shoving rice balls and tampura in his mouth "be careful not to choke" I said

"Lord inosuke won't choke, he knows how to eat just fine" he replied, mouth full of food

"Alright then"
