- WEEK LATER -

I found myself nestled by the window, drawn to the gentle melody playing in the background, the rhythmic patter of raindrops against the glass forming a soothing accompaniment. In my hand, a bottle of soju, a temporary escape from the reality of my medication regimen, which I had intentionally set aside for a few days. Despite knowing the importance of my medication, there was a sense of liberation in exercising my willpower, even if momentarily.

Today was one of those rare days where the weight of my illness felt a little lighter, and as I took a generous sip of the soju, I savored the fleeting sense of freedom it brought. But just then, as if on cue, Hyunjin emerged from the shower, a towel casually wrapped around his waist. My gaze involuntarily drifted towards him, captivated by his presence, by the effortless grace with which he carried himself.

He seemed almost ethereal, bathed in the soft light filtering through the window, his features illuminated with a subtle glow. There was an undeniable allure to him, something magnetic that drew my gaze and held it captive.

After a moment, I cleared my throat, tearing my gaze away and directing my attention back to the window. Leaning my head against the seat, I couldn't help but emit a contented sigh. Yet, despite my attempts to regain composure, a blush crept up my neck and cheeks, a silent testament to the effect he had on me. It was a moment of quiet admiration, a silent acknowledgment of his beauty and the comfort his presence brought amidst the stormy backdrop of my thoughts.

As I savored the tranquility of the moment, Hyunjin's presence seemed to add an extra layer of serenity to the atmosphere. He caught my eye as he moved gracefully across the room, his towel-clad form a captivating sight against the backdrop of rain-kissed scenery.

"Enjoying the rain?" he asked, his voice soft and gentle, like the patter of raindrops outside.

I nodded, unable to tear my gaze away from him. "Yeah, it's... peaceful," I replied, my voice barely above a whisper, the words tinged with a hint of awe.

He smiled, a warm, reassuring expression that softened the edges of my worries. "I'm glad," he said, crossing the room to stand beside me at the window. "It's moments like these that remind us to appreciate the simple things in life."

I nodded in agreement, my gaze flickering between his eyes and the rain-streaked window. "You're right," I admitted, feeling a sense of gratitude wash over me for his presence, for his ability to find beauty in the mundane.

We stood in comfortable silence for a while, the only sound the gentle melody playing in the background and the rhythmic drumming of rain against the glass. But then, as if sensing my thoughts, Hyunjin spoke again, his voice low and soothing.

"Are you feeling alright?" he asked, his gaze soft with concern as he turned to me.

I watched him for a moment, his presence commanding my attention even as I struggled to find my words. Opening my mouth to speak, I quickly averted my gaze, clearing my throat in a feeble attempt to regain composure. With a nod, I hoped to convey a sense of nonchalance, masking the extent to which his simple presence, standing there in just a towel, affected me.
