𝐄𝐕𝐄𝐍 𝐀𝐅𝐓𝐄𝐑 all these years, I still have that read book that I received from Katherine in 1864. I'll admit, I'm not the strongest siphoner out there, I have my bad moments where I forget or don't perform to my best ability but it's kept me safe for over 145 years so I must be doing something right.

Yes, you read that correctly, it has been 145 years since the worst day of my life, and it is now 2009. Like Katherine had said, I did meet a witch back in 1864 and she gave me herbs which stopped my ageing, she warned me of the consequences and that one day it would catch up to me, but I was content with that risk if it meant I would look young and 22 forever.

The day my brothers died haunted me forever, that was until I found out they were alive in 1955. All three of them were living and well, well, not really living, they were vampires.

I knew what vampires were like, they were evil, killers, ruthless, but there were also the good vampires who had control over there lust for blood and all I could do was pray that my brothers were one of the good ones.

I had never built up the courage to go and see them, always putting it off because if they had never came looking for me, maybe they didn't want me to go looking for them.

But, I finally pushed my worries aside and made up my mind that I would find my brothers and we can be a family again.

I parked my car outside of the Mystic Grill, which I researched and found out it was the main spot for teens and adults to come and hang out, but it was nothing special, just a usual restaurant/bar.

I climbed out of my car and was immediately met by the sound of kids and teenagers running past, shouting at each other and gossiping about the latest 'scandal' in their school or families.

Rolling my eyes at the sounds of girls giggling, I walked onto the pavement, walking down the street with my eyes trained on my handbag, trying to search for my phone.

However, I had only just grabbed ahold of my phone before my shoulder was knocked backwards by a blonde girl.

She scoffed and fixed her hair, turning around to look at me with flared nostrils, "Watch where you're going-who are you?"

I furrowed my brows at the girls rudeness, I know I wasn't the nicest person and I had changed a lot since I was young but I still knew basic manners, "Rossana. Who are you?"

"Caroline Forbes." The girl replied, her angry stare turning into a giddy smile which made me fight the urge to roll my eyes and keep on walking.

"Forbes." I repeated, nodding suspiciously, "I knew your family. Goodbye, Caroline Forbes."

Before the girl could stop me from leaving, I turned around and continued my walk. I knew that Stefan had returned home to Mystic Falls but I was unaware of where my other brothers were, I searched and searched but their location was unknown.

Stefan was now living up at the Salvatore Boarding House. I knew one of my distant relatives lived there under the name of Zach Salvatore but I had never met him because I refused to come back to Mystic Falls.

As I approached the Salvatore Boarding House for the first time, I couldn't help but be struck by its imposing grandeur. The mansion loomed ahead, a testament to a bygone era with its grand, Southern-style architecture. Tall columns flanked the large front porch, leading my eyes upward to the intricate woodwork that adorned the exterior. Lush gardens surrounded the property, meticulously maintained and bursting with color, adding a touch of life to the otherwise somber façade.
