3rd PERSON'S POV

The air buzzed with anticipation and playful banter as the Indian cricket team boarded the flight to South Africa. The air was thick with the scent of anticipation – a mix of excitement for the upcoming tour and the playful jabs between the married couples. Shubman Gill, his eyes sparkling with a mixture of nervous excitement and pure joy, held his wife, Vrushali's hand tightly. Their honeymoon, intricately woven into the tour schedule, was no mere coincidence. It was a meticulously planned surprise by Shubman, a testament to his love for the woman who held his heart.

Virat Kohli was at his jovial best, stirring the atmosphere with his trademark wit. Anushka sat beside him, a silent observer, a knowing smile dancing on her lips as she watched the interaction unfold. Hardik Pandya, never one to shy away from teasing, was busy playing his role as the resident prankster, peppering the air with hilarious anecdotes and witty remarks. Natasha kept him firmly in check, her infectious laughter a constant melody in the background. Rohit Sharmashared chuckles with Ritika, their quiet camaraderie adding to the warm and intimate vibe.

Shreyas Iyer, Ishan Kishan, and Rishabh Pant, the mischievous trio, were the resident comedians, relentlessly poking fun at the newlyweds

'So, Shubman, are you ready for your honeymoon duties?'
 Ishan quipped, raising an eyebrow.

 'Don't worry, Vrushali,'
 Rishabh chimed in,
'We'll keep him entertained while you catch up on some much-needed sleep.'

Shubman, though initially flustered by the relentless teasing, found himself laughing along. Vrushali, usually a shy and reserved person, found herself enjoying the light-hearted atmosphere, her initial apprehension melting away.

"Don't you dare!'
she retorted, her voice laced with playful annoyance,
"I'm going to keep him busy enough."

"But make sure to keep him free for matches and practices"
Shreyas chimed

"Obviously"
Vrushali replied

The air crackled with good-natured ribbing, every word laced with affection and camaraderie. The flight journey felt like a mini-vacation in itself, filled with laughter, inside jokes, and shared stories. As the flight progressed, the playful banter gradually mellowed, transitioning into a comfortable silence punctuated by stolen glances and whispered conversations.

Shubman, drawing Vrushali closer, leaned in to whisper,
'This is going to be the best honeymoon ever, just you and me.'

He watched as a blush crept up her cheeks, her eyes shimmering with the promise of a shared dream. A gentle smile graced his lips, his heart swelling with an overwhelming sense of contentment.

"Yes just you, me and your cricket"
Vrushali stated

"Are but we will be together after the match right?"
Shubman said

"Yes and the match will start in the morning and end at evening"
Vrushali teased

"OK done with teasing me"
Shubman said while making a weird face

"Yes"
Vrushali said with a sly smile and clinging on Shubman's arm as she kissed him on his cheeks affectionately. He also smiled and kissed her hair lovingly.

They slipped into a cocoon of their own, the world fading away as they focused only on each other. Vrushali, emboldened by his tender gaze, leaned her head against his shoulder, the rhythmic hum of the engines lulling her into a sense of security.

The plane touched down in Johannesburg, the city lights twinkling like distant stars against the velvet cloak of the night sky. Shubman Gill, his heart thumping with a mixture of excitement and nervousness, was finally in South Africa. He had been eagerly anticipating this trip for months, a combination of a cricket tour and a well-deserved honeymoon with his wife, Vrushali.

Vrushali, with her contagious smile and twinkling eyes, was a constant source of joy and comfort for Shubman. In the quiet of the airplane, she had gazed out the window, her mind filled with dreams of romantic nights and vibrant African landscapes.

As they emerged from the airport, the humid air wrapped around them like a warm embrace. A luxury car, sent by the hotel, waited to take them to their destination. The drive through bustling streets, lined with colorful buildings and vibrant markets, was a sensory overload, all the more thrilling because they were sharing it together.

The hotel was a masterpiece of modern architecture, nestled in the heart of the city. Their room was a luxurious haven, a symphony of warm colours, elegant furniture, and breathtaking views of the city skyline.

The aroma of jasmine lingered in the air as Shubman and Vrushali walked into their room, their faces illuminated by the soft glow of the bedside lamps. Vrushali, dressed in a silk nightgown that shimmered in the dim light, was already feeling the magic of the night.

'I can't believe we're finally here,'
she murmured, her voice soft and melodious.

Shubman, his gaze fixed on her, felt his heart skip a beat.
'Me neither,'
he admitted, his voice rumbling with emotion.
'This is going to be amazing.'

He reached for his suitcase and brought out a small, personalized gift - a hand-painted picture frame, the surface depicting a couple gazing at the iconic Table Mountain in the background. He knew Vrushali adored the mountain, and this was his way of sharing a piece of its beauty with her.

'For you,'
he said, placing the frame on the bedside table.
'Just a little something to remember our trip by.'

Vrushali's eyes sparkled with gratitude.
'It's beautiful,'
she breathed, her finger tracing the delicate lines of the painting.
'Thank you, Shubman.'

He drew her close, his arms wrapping around her waist.
'I'm so lucky to have you,'
he whispered, his voice husky with adoration.

As he kissed her, a wave of warmth flooded through him, a sense of perfect, unbridled joy. The room felt smaller, more intimate, as if the world had shrunk to just the two of them.

The city outside their window was a blur of lights and sounds, but inside their sanctuary, time seemed to stand still. He led her to the balcony, where the moonlight bathed their faces in a silvery glow.

'The view is breathtaking,'
Vrushali murmured, her eyes wide with wonder as she gazed at the sprawling city below.

Shubman, his hand resting on her shoulder, felt a surge of pride. He was happy, content, and most importantly, deeply in love.

The night deepened, and the air grew cooler. Vrushali wrapped herself in a soft shawl, her delicate fingers playing with the fabric. Shubman, his gaze fixed on her, watched as her eyelids fluttered shut, her breathing slowing.

'You look beautiful,'
he said softly, his voice a gentle caress.

Vrushali opened her eyes, their depths shimmering with moonlight.

'So do you,'
she whispered, a playful smile gracing her lips.

He leaned closer, his lips brushing against hers. The kiss was soft, gentle, yet charged with unspoken emotions. As they embraced, they felt a deep connection, a sense of belonging that transcended words.

The night was barely beginning, and the adventure, both on and off the field, was just getting started. But for now, Shubman and Vrushali were content to simply be with each other, in the quiet intimacy of their hotel room, their love story unfolding under the watchful gaze of the stars.
