[So in recent weeks I've been watching Bleach. In a short time, I'm already at the fifty-episode mark and on my way to reach Thousand Year Blood War before Part 3 comes out in October. But it's during that time that I want to write a book about Bleach, because, well...It's actually really good. And it's sad I never really thought it would be before. But after finishing One Piece, I wanted to continue on the Big 3 Train and moved on to Bleach...and I'm glad I did. It's really cool and action-packed, and Ichigo is a great MC. So what better way to showcase my enjoyment of the show than with a book? So, let's get to the Bio...Because this one's an interesting one.]
______[Your POV]
"Grandpa, what happens when we die?"
"When we die? Haha! That's quite the serious question from you, (Y/n)?"
"Yeah, well, I heard a few of the elders talking about it the other day. About how we shouldn't fear Death. But that got me wondering...What happens when we die?"
--342 Years Ago | 1682--
I remember when I first asked that question. It tasted so innocent on my tongue...Little did I know of the consequences that would come with it.
Grandpa: [Smiles] "What happens when we die, huh? Well... It depends."
Young (Y/n): "Depends? On what, Grandpa?"
Grandpa: "...Whether or not you're ready to move on."
Young (Y/n): "I...I don't understand."
Honestly, I never really understood a lot of what my Grandpa said. Then again, during the period of Japan when I was born in, it wasn't really filled with so much amazing words or descriptions. It was just words being put together to make things make at least a little bit of sense. After all, I was born 300 years before even the first phone was invented, so what do you expect to really be thought of when someone says they were born over three centuries ago in a country like Japan? It most definitely wasn't high-tech living.
Grandpa: "Let me explain it like this. For those that have lived a full life like me, I'm ready to go at any moment now."
Young (Y/n): [Genuine Fear] "Wh-Wh-What?"
Grandpa: "Haha! Don't worry, I'm not ready to die just yet, (Y/n)." [Breaths in and Smiles Softly] "But...When that day eventually comes, I will be ready. I've lived a full life and will not dare turn away from that white light when it appears one day."
Young (Y/n): "So what can stop someone from being ready to move on?"
Grandpa: "Well, as I said, I've lived a full life, so I'm ready to go whenever. But when someone has yet to live a life worth living, one where they have yet to achieve their dreams, that will find themselves unable to move on. And it's with that unableness that they are feasted upon by Negative Emotions. Now when that happens, that's when the real trouble begins."
Young (Y/n): "Why, Grandpa?"
Grandpa: "Because when someone is feasted on by their Negative Emotions...They become a Hollow!"
The mere force that was brought on with that last word, 'Hollow', as my Grandpa stared me in the eyes, I knew right then and there that even though I didn't know what a 'Hollow' looked like, I most definitely would be having nightmares about it for weeks to come. But, as it was with many children at the age of Nine, my mind was sparked with curiosity upon hearing it.
