Walking around the brown tables, with her tray in her hands, apron tightened around her small waist and her blonde wavy hair hold up tightly on a high ponytail, Sookie Stackhouse was taking her shift at the town bar and grill, called Merlotte's.

The blonde girl was hearing everybody's thoughts as usual, while serving the people. It was hard for her to tune all those voices sometimes, which was giving her a headache. It was overwhelming for her. She sighed tiredly as she walked towards the bar and took a deep breath, trying to calm herself.

"The downside of our connection-" the second Sookie heard the familiar honey like voice of her best friend, smile shone on her face and she turned around and looked towards the Italian beauty "-is that I can feel everything you're feeling."

"I'm sorry Cara- I got overwhelmed." Sookie regretfully told her best friend. Chiara.

Chiara Lombardi was the definition of an Italian Goddess. She had high cheekbones, plump lips, that looked even more plummy when she put her red lipstick, black long wavy hair that bounce every time she walked, sapphire green eyes and her body was to die for.

She had beautiful round breasts, small waist and round ass. Her body was solid, which was understandable because of all the training sessions she was doing with her older brother, Angelo Lombardi.

When Chiara was sixteen and Angelo was twenty, their parents were killed by vampires. Back then no one knew 'who' or 'what' exactly killed them, but after the vampires came out from the coffin, everyone knew that it was vampires that murdered them.

And after that day Adele Stackhouse took the Lombardi siblings under her care, and looked after them like they were her own.

"I thought you learned how to control it?" Chiara asked her with a frown as she walked closer to her Protected, and she placed her tray next to Sookie's, and leaned against the bar as she turned her body towards her blonde best friend.

Sookie nodded with a frown "I did-" She confessed as she looked into Chiara's sapphire green eyes "-but sometimes, I can't really help it."

Chiara smiled at her best friend, who looked like a puppy in that moment, and she placed her hand on her shoulder softly "It's okay to loose control over something you don't seem to understand." She stated softly "You know-" She started as she turned around towards the bar "-sometimes It's hard for me to control my powers. Especially my fire powers, or my anger, and I still have a problem with hiding my scent." She explained to her.

Sookie grimaced "Still have a problem with that?"

Chiara nodded and she pushed her lips into a thin line "Angelo is worried, that if I don't learn quickly, if a vampire walked in and he caught my scent... I'll be dead." She explained to her.

Sookie placed her hand on top of Chiara's "Everyting is going to be okay Cara-" She then smiled at her softly and lifted her pinky up, that gesture made the Nephilim laugh before she linked her pinky with Sookie's "-I promise."

"Hey Tara." The two girls turned towards Sam, who was on the phone talking with Chiara and Sookie's best friend, "Yeah, they are right here." He said as he walked towards the girls, and handed them the phone.

Sookie grabbed the phone and looked at Sam "We're so sorry Sam. She knows not to call us at work."

"Girls it's okay," Sam reasoned the two girls with a smile "Neither of you abuse a privilege like Arlene does."

In that moment the red headed woman walked pass the three of them, with a tray filled with food. She turned her head slightly at them "Hey! I heard that."

"Well, I wish you hear that." Sam told her loudly, as he walked away from the girls.

"Please Sam. I have kids." She told him matter-of-factly.

Chiara slightly raised her hand and called out "That's a good reason."

"Thank you Cara!" Arlene called out over her shoulder at the Italian girl.

Chiara chuckled and turned towards Sookie, who put the phone in between them so that both girls could talk.

"This had better be an emergency." Was the first thing Sookie told Tara over the phone.

"I just quit my job." Tara told them and Chiara couldn't help but hear the relief in her voice as she said that.

"Again?" Chiara asked in amusement.

"I can't work for assholes." Tara argued with them.

"Well we're glad you can afford to be so picky, Miss Say-Hello-To-The-Rest-Of-Us." Sookie told her.

"Oh, shut up." Tara told them in annoyance "Sam is not an asshole and he's totally in love with you."

Chiara laughted loudly at the face Sookie made, as she turned away from the bar.

"Tara, he is my boss." Sookie whispered at her, while also glaring at her best friend who continued laughting her ass off.

"Jesus Sookie, you need to lighten up." Tara whined "Be more like Cara."

"You know I hate it when you use the 'J' word." Sookie said in annoyance as she rolled her eyes "Look we gotta go." She told her as she saw how busy the restaurant started to be.

"I'm coming over. I need a margarita, a big one." Tara told her, before Sookie hung up the phone.

"It's gonna be a long night." Chiara whined as she took her tray and got ready to take tables, when another waitress Dawn Green walked up to them with an apologetic look which was sent towards Sookie.

"Mack and Denise Rattray are just about to sit down in your section." She warned the blonde girl.

Sookie and Chiara whirled around and saw the couple of drug dealers. They used V - vampires blood, that caused extreme hallucinations and what not.

Denise adjusted the bodice of her top while her husband smacked her on the butt. "What the fuck?!" She shouted furiously and everyone heard that.

Chiara snarled at the Rattray's before she turned towards her Protected "You want me to take them?"

Sookie was out somewhere for a second before she snapped back and shook her head quickly. A small assuring smile then made its way on her shinny face. "Nope. I'm good."

"Don't let 'em get to you, chère," Sam addressed Sookie as Chiara smirked at them "They're not worth shit." Sookie then turned and walked towards the booth. "Keep an eye on her. I know you're short, when you're not wearing those crazy huge heels of yours, but you're a real bad ass." Sam smiled at Chiara and then walked back to the bar as Chiara smiled to herself and went to take her tables.
