It was a gloomy Monday at school, and Nobita Nobi felt overwhelmed. He sat at his desk, head resting on his arms, staring at his math book. Numbers swirled in his mind, making him dizzy. "Why does math have to be so hard?" he grumbled. The clock ticked loudly, each second dragging on.
Across the room, Hidetoshi Dekisugi noticed Nobita struggling. Hidetoshi was one of the smartest kids in class, always helpful and calm. He admired Nobita's determination, even when things got tough. After class, he decided to help.
"Hey, Nobita!" Hidetoshi called, leaning over his desk. "Need help with math? I can explain it to you!"
Nobita looked up, surprised. "Really? You'd help me?"
"Of course! Let's meet at the park after school. It'll be quieter, and we can go through the problems together," Hidetoshi suggested with a friendly smile.
Nobita felt a rush of excitement. "Sure! I'll see you there!"
The school day felt long as Nobita's mind raced with thoughts of studying with Hidetoshi. What if he embarrassed himself? What if he couldn't understand anything? Yet, he couldn't shake off the thrill at the thought of spending time with someone he looked up to.
Finally, the bell rang, and Nobita bolted out of class. As he walked to the park, he noticed the cherry blossoms starting to bloom, painting the trees in beautiful shades of pink. When he arrived, he spotted Hidetoshi sitting on a bench, surrounded by books.
"Hey, Nobita! Right here!" Hidetoshi waved, and Nobita's heart raced.
"Sorry I'm late!" Nobita said, feeling flustered as he approached.
"Let's get started," Hidetoshi said, pulling out his math book. As they began studying, Hidetoshi explained concepts clearly. Nobita slowly felt the weight of his worries lifting. After a while, they took a break, and Hidetoshi glanced over, catching Nobita's eyes.
"You're really doing great, Nobita," Hidetoshi said, smiling. "You just need to believe in yourself more."
Nobita felt his cheeks flush. "Thanks, Dekisugi. I really like spending time with you."
"Me too. You're a great friend," Hidetoshi replied, his smile genuine.
As they continued to talk, their shoulders brushed together. Nobita's heart raced as he accidentally bumped against Hidetoshi. "Sorry!" Nobita exclaimed, feeling heat rise to his face.
"It's okay!" Hidetoshi laughed lightly, his eyes twinkling. "It happens."
In that moment, under the blooming cherry blossoms, a new chapter of their friendship began. Nobita felt hope blossoming inside him.
