SMG1 sat in Bob's lap, hunched over his laptop. He was furiously typing away, creating a PowerPoint for his lesson the next day. One always wanted his students to have the best resources available so that meant staying up late to finish a PowerPoint with enough info to carry them through their assignments.
Meanwhile, Bob had been flipping through several notebooks. Tracking sales of... drugs or something? He hadn't explicitly said. Probably because he was worried One would rat him out to the police. He wouldn't, but he couldn't risk it.
The two silently worked away at their own projects. Not uttering a word to one another. SMG1 appreciated Bob's company and he expressed this by leaning his back again the man and letting out a long, relaxed sigh. He looked up into Bob's bright green eyes and smiled contently.
For the past month or two, Bob had been living with SMG1 and SMG2. Just a temporary solution of course. He was homeless and would occasionally couch-hop between friend's homes before eventually being kicked out for throwing a party or breaking/stealing something. Strangely though, Bob had been pretty considerate of SMG1 and Two's place. Nobody really knew why. Perhaps he respected them to a certain degree? Who could really say...?
Regardless, Bob's good behaviour had led to SMG1 spending more time with the Garo. One was home quite a lot of the time since he only had to hold lectures two or three times a week. This meant that the two of them had become closer over time. Cooking meals for each other, spending time together, taking breaks at the same time and overall, just enjoying the company of someone new.
Realistically, they were complete opposites. That's what made things feel so refreshing when they spent time together. One could learn to accept Bob's wild side and Bob had learnt when it was appropriate to calm down and just enjoy a moment of peace and solidarity.
They balanced each other out in a strange sort of way. And this had led to them spending more and more time together alone. Without notifying the SMG4 crew or even SMG2! Though he probably had a faint idea when he come home from grocery shopping and saw Bob and SMG1 leaning against each other, watching some dumb horror movie Bob had picked out to scare SMG1. Of course, One was completely unaffected by it, already having to witness the horrors of his home universe being destroyed and all that but he appreciated the time spent with the Garo nonetheless.
And right now was no different.
One leaned his head back, looking up at and smiling fondly at Bob who was still flipping through his notes. It didn't take long for Bob to notice One's gaze on him and he promptly returned the look.
"How's the lecture plan going?" He asked in his usual monotone voice.
"So far so good." One said, diverting his attention to his laptop screen once again. "Just trying to make the presentation look a little better. I want it to be captivating for my students after all."
"Hmm..." Bob looked down at the wall of text on SMG1's laptop screen. One wasn't kidding, it sure was boring to look at. Sure, Bob was certainly no web design expert or anything but he could tell if something looked good or bad. "Why not put some memes on there? It is a meme lecture after all." He suggested.
One thought for a moment. "I... suppose I could? I don't want to make it too unserious though..."
"Bruh. It's a college lecture on memes! You realise how lame you sound right now, right?" Bob frowned.
SMG1 chuckled, "Yes, I suppose you're right. A little light hearted joke couldn't hurt."
SMG1 opened the internet explorer tab and began searching through pages and pages of memes, struggling to find the right one.
