A rumor when around fifteen years after Punch Out!! for the Wii came out. There were two secret circuits. They both were earned in an odd way. The circuits didn't have a name. At least according to the rumors that were spread initially. Clearly fake screenshots circulated on the Internet that featured the secret circuits. The rumors were mainly evident in the Punch Out community. Everyone outside of the community thought that the rumors were stupid. Nobody really talked about the rumors on places like YouTube because of this general opinion that they were fake. The ways to earn the special circuits were never said, which didn't help the rumor's validity.
The people who talked about the rumors often got rude comments and spam. The people who started the rumors got threatened and doxxed. The people on the Internet with common sense were pissed that this was happening. Youtube videos were soon made about the doxxing and threats by creators like D' Angelo.
The people who tried to earn the circuits weren't good enough at the game to actually get anywhere with the very little information provided.
Soon enough, the circuits were given a name. The fist circuit was dubbed "The Nightmare Circuit" or "The Hell Circuit" depending on your source. The second circuit was dubbed "The Feliximo Circuit". Both circuits didn't have any canon names.
Eventually, the ways to earn both circuits were stated on a Tumblr post that got a lot of traction. The post was by one of the developers of Punch Out!! Wii. People in the Punch Out speedrunning community started to try these strategies and come up with new ones as well. They would post about their various attempts at earning these circuits using official and fanmade strategies.
There were four categories on Speedrun.com that were for the two circuits. Two of them were for unlocking the circuits and the other two were for the actual circuits themselves. There weren't any runs submitted for a while after the categories were made.
The rest of this book will be detailing the methods, special cutscenes, and a small dip into the characters perspective.
