When you can't let go

When you cant let go</3

She's giving you all her heart
She's screaming for you to notice
But she's 6 feet under water
Drowning in your ignorance

She's pulling on your arm as you drag her along
She's not letting go because she loves to much
She suffers through the night and day
Suffers through the pain of being dragged bare
She feels the earth tear into her flesh
But holds on because she refuses to let go

She does little things praying you will be captured by the time she puts into these things for you
captured by all her efforts
She's losing her life to give you some of her own
She's living less so she can build you up

He doesn't acknowledge all that she does
She isn't his toy
She isn't his entertainment
But she lets him play her
Because she loves him to hard
And he says he loves her too
But is it really there
He says it is
But if it were true
He WOULD see her pain in waiting
He WOULD see all her effort
How everyday she dies for him
He WOULD see other men dying to have her.
Other men trying so hard to gain her love
But instead she's holding onto him for dear life hoping one day you will see her pain and love her in a way she will actually feel it other than pain.

Because everyday she is a step closer to her grave.. And maybe when she falls too deep in her grave and she's gone... THAT will be the day he will see his mistakes
