Well first of all he had a crush on Chanel and started to become obsessive. She then got a restraining order against him, this gave him a reason to hate Chanel. He described the girls getting rid of Ms Bean's body. He quickly covered up the fact that he knew that by saying that he was a reporter, but could he have been stalking them the whole time as the Red Devil? Another point is he would be exactly the right age to have been the baby born at the start of the first episode, which could give him another reason to hate the sorority, because maybe he thinks that the sorority is the reason for her death and meeting Chanel and being rejected by her might have fuelled that anger. The cherry on top of the cake is the fact that Pete has the Red Devil costume, he said it was because he was the school mascot to Grace, BUT as Grace was leaving Pete stared at the mask pretty evilly if I do say so myself. It may have been nothing but it did seem pretty suspicious.Pete Diller
