* Tori's P.O.V *

The warm California air hit my face. About 1 hour ago, I finished my 10th grade school year. Right now, me and my best friend Stephanie were walking to the beach to celebrate summer break. We are also gonna go to the big end-of-tenth-grade party, hosted by one of my other friends, Sarah. "Welllllll??" Said Stephanie. "Welllllll what?!" I replied. "Aren't you excited?" She asked. "I guess so.....it's just another summer." "Well, maybe something special will happen" She finished her sentence and winked at me, as she pulled her long,thick brown hair into a pony-tail. I just stared blanky ahead, thinking about what Stephanie just said. Something special? It's just....summer. Beach days, hot sun, no cares. How special is that? Jeez. I take stuff WAAY to seriously sometimes. Heh

By the time I got done arguing with myself, arrived at the beach. "What's up, Tori?" My other best friend, Maria said. Oh. Right. I forgot to tell you my name. Well , I'm Victoria Perrish. Or, Tori. I'm 17, I have brown hair, brown eyes. Nothing important, really. "Not much Maria, did you pick our spot?" I asked. "Yup" "Well, lets go then!" I replied with a smile. We got to our spots in the sand and dug out our blankets from our bags. I got mine out and spread it out neatly. Then I lyed down, pulled on my sun glasses, sighed in relief. Ahhh, summer. The sun is brighter and your cares are lighter. Nothing is better then tanning on th-wait. Someone is blocking my sun. EVERYONE who knows me, knows not to block my sun! "Hey, you, excuse me?!" I said to the boy blocking the sun COMPLETLY. He had dirty blonde hair and blue eyes, a little darker then mine. He was actually.....kinda cute. What am I saying. He's not cute. I don't care about him. Nope. "Uh,Yeah" he said as he turned around. When he saw me, he flashed a big smile. Wow. His teeth were white. "Er, your kinda blocking the sun" "Oh, sorry" he finished his sentence, then moved over. "Um, thanks?" My reply sounded more like a question then a answer. Why did I feel so....self-conscious? "So, what's your name?" The blonde boy asked, suddenly. "I-it's Victoria. You can call me Tori, though." I smiled. He seemed nice. And his abs looked nice, to. "I'm Kendell" he replied with a bigger smile. He had a very nice smile. "Will I be...seeing you around sometime?" I smiled and crossed my arms in a flirty way. "Defiantly" then, he grinned and disappeared.

A few hours passed and we left the beach, right now me, Stephanie, and Maria were at my house getting ready for the party. But, I just couldn't focus. I can't stop thinking about the blonde boy.Or, Kendell. Did I like him? No......yes?? Maybe?!? UGH. "Uh, Tori?" "Yeah?" Why did you just go....ugh?" asked Maria. Oh. I said that out loud. Oopsie. ".....no reason" "M'kay" she replied, probably a little worried about me. Anyways, Stephanie literally dragged me off my bed and picked me out a light pink sun dress that went right above my knee, a floppy hat, and some brown leather gladiator sandels. After I got dressed, I put on some light eye shadow, mascara, and a sheer lip gloss. Maria quickly curled my hair into beachy waves, gave me my brown leather purse, and we went out the door.
