This was it, bye to the internet, bye to my iphone, bye to pancakes and bye to making my own decisions. We are back at Vampire Academy. And with we I mean Rose, Lissa and I. We escaped this place a year ago because we totally had it up to here and just wanted to get out. It seemed like they had stopped searching for us after a year but damn we were wrong.

"So explain to me one more time why I wouldn't suspend the both of you right now!" A furious Headmistress Kirova spit eyeing Rose and me angrily. Rose shrugged her shoulders. "We just wanted to get out of here." She simply said. I tried to keep my laugh in, knowing this would send Kirova over the edge. Rose and I have the same humour, loved the same things, looked pretty alike and even had the same moroi. Yes two damphir girls that share one moroi. It's very rare, well what can I say it is beyond rare. But it's true, the three of us have a special bond. We can read each others minds and feel eachothers feelings. That's what makes us practically unseperable. "We just wanted to get away?" Kirova repeated trying to stay calm. "WE JUST WANTED TO GET AWAY?!" She yelled.
"Do you have any idea of how unforgivable your actions are, you have kidnapped the only daughter left from the royal dragomir family and brought her to a place outside the Academy where she was in constant danger!" Kirova rambled frustrated.
"Buuuut we have protected her for over a year and nothing has happened." I said a smirk forming on my face. Kirova gave me a spiteful look. I glanced at Rose and she found this situation with an envious Headmistress funny as well. People often use the term 'pain in the ass' to describe us. No idea where that comes from. Kirova was rambling on about our duty to keep the princess save bla bla bla. I turned around and looked to Lissa. "Are you okay?" I asked throught telepathy. "Yes" she replied. But I could feel she wasn't. She's afraid that Rose and I will get suspended. "Don't worry we're going no where." Rose said also through telepathy. It's almost like a little group chat in our heads. I turned my attention back to Headmistress Kirova. "For now you can go but there will be major consequenses. And let me be clear if there ever happens something like this ever again, the two of you will get expelled. Now leave please I want to have a word with Valissa." She spoke. I groaned loudly. It wasn't the threat that bothered me but the fact that we were in Vampire Academy once again.
"Damn it, I hate her." Rose said once we were outside the room. "Tell me about it." I sighed. We waited for another 10 minutes and then Lissa joined us. Some guards brought us back to the room where we used to sleep. We got inside and it hadn't changed for a bit. "It smells terrible in here." Lissa complained. I nodded. "Sleep well girls." The head of the security said and left our room. "So what did she say to you?" Rose asked Lissa. "She was really angry but I took all the blame and since we have the bond she can't seperate us from each other so we only get chores like cleaning up the canteen and raking the school yard plus she said we can't participate in any fun activity." Lissa said. "You are the best of friends for taking all the blame." I said pulling her iton a hug, Rose as well. After the little group hug we started cleaning up and getting the dust off of everything. Lissa got Oscar out of her backpack. "You really brought that furball?" Rose whined. "I couldn't just abandon him!" Lissa argued. I laughed at them. And stroke the cat over its little head. After an hour of two everything was as good as clean. I plopped on my bed and closed my eyes. I was exhausted! "Night" Rose spoke. "Goodnight" I replied. Lissa already dozed off.

I felt someone shake me "W-what are you-" "get up lazy ass we have to get up for class." Lissa said. "Oh right, stupid time tables." I muttered. Having classes in the middle of the night and sleeping the rest of the day was definitely not something I have missed. Oh let's be real, I've missed nothing from the Academy. Well maybe one thing. Or shall I say someone. Mason. Mason was one of my best friends but I always liked him as more than a friend, Gosh I missed him!
I quickly got out of bed dressed myself and applied some make-up. "Someone's eager to see Mason again." Rose said teasingly when I walked into our little kitchen. My cheeks turned pink. Stupid mind reading. "Don't tease her! I think she and Mason would be really cute." Lissa said. I shot her a smile. I often thought about how it was possible to be so positive and kind like Lissa all the time. Maybe it was a gift. "One thing for sure Mason is all into you." Rose winked at me. I rolled my eyes. "Please Rose I haven't seen him in a year, plus we are just friends." I said. "Just saying." Rose smirked innocently. We got ready and then headed to our classes. On our way there everyone that passed us stopped to look at us and some pointed and whispered. Utterly annoying if you ask me. If someone has a problem with me I like it better that they just come to me instead of whispering and pointing behind my back. Then my eyes fell on Lissa's old boyfriend with some new chick hanging around his arm. I felt Lissa's sadness. "God I hate highschool." She muttered."I know." I said giving her a side hug. Not long after I heard a familiar voice call my name. I turned around to see Mason. Wow he had changed! He was like a feet taller and even more handsome. He sprinted over to us and embraced me in a tight hug. "God I missed you." He whispered in my hair. Then he pulled away. "I couldn't leave you here all alone for another year now could I?" I joked. We did our secret handshake thingy we came up with when we were younger and then he also gave Rose and Lissa a hug. "So tell me, how was it outside the Academy?" He asked curiously. "Refreshing." Lissa answered. I chuckled. Everything sounds so funny with her accent. Mason smiled. God his smile released butterflies in my chest. Sure I had a crush on him before but this is much different I am really in love with Mason. "It was really chill, we could do whatever we wanted, nobody told us what to do." Rose said. "Plus the food Omg it was amazing, they have like waffles and pancakes with nutella and oh I'm gonna miss them." I added. "More than you missed me?" Mason asked poking my shoulder lightly. "Almost" I smiled poking back. "Holy shit the hottest only get hotter." Rose spoke looking at Jesse. I turned my head to see for myself. "Damn you right." I said. I'm not gonna lie Jesse looks fine as hell. But the boy I really like is Mason ofcourse. He may not be the moste handsome but he has the biggest heart and a great sense of humour and ofcourse he really isn't ugly either. Rose rolled her eyes at my cheesy thoughts. "He has an horrible personality." Lissa spoke. "True" I replied focussing back on Mason, who was glaring at Jesse. He is definitely jealous and I couldn't help but find it very cute. "We should get to training." Mason said. I nodded and said bye to Lissa who was going to the Moroi classes. Rose and I had private training since we missed an entire year. We entered the gym and in the middle stood an big built man with shoulder lenght hair. He put his hair in a little ponytail and started talking. "My name is Dimitri and I am your personal trainer, we have not much time today so let's start." He had an russian accent. "Damn he is a looker." Rose said through telepathy. I rolled my eyes. Rose better not be flirting with him the whole training sessions.
Rose punched my shoulder and I chuckled.

When our training was over I felt dead, every bone in my body hurts and feeling Rose her pain even made it worse. Mason walked up to us. "You look terrible." He said. I laughed. "Thankyou, that's what a girl likes to hear." I joked. "You're still pretty." He said but then his eyes whidened because he probably didn't mean to say that. My cheeks turned a light shade of red. "I'm gonna check up on Lissa now, see ya." Rose said and walked away. I rolled my eyes even though she couldn't see. Rose just left so Mason could make a move on me. Like that would ever happen. He only sees me as a friend. "Hey you wanna go somewhere?" He suddenly asked. I nodded and followed him. He wouldn't tell where we were going but I immediately recognized it when we got closer. It was our secret treehouse we built as kids. "I almost forgot about this place." I said starting to climb the ladder. Mason also came up. We sat really close to eachother. "It was a lot bigger when we were younger." I said which caused Mason to laugh, showing his perfect white teeth. We talked for a while about everything I had missed and all the new gossips, but he also asked a lot of questions about the outside world. After what seemed like hours of talking I started to get tired due the fiercely training session and the lack of sleep. I yawned. "You can lean on me if you want." Mason suggested. I gladly took his offer and rested my head on his shoulder. He shuffled a bit and put his arm around me. I felt a funny feeling in the pit of my stomach. "I really missed you actually." I whispered barely audible. "I know.. I used to come here a lot, this place always reminds me of you." He replied. My heart started pumping faster. "That's sweet." I smiled. "You're sweet." He said pushing a strand of hair behind my ear. I looked up at him and his ocean blue eyes met mine. I got lost in his eyes and couldn't come up with anything to say. It seemed like everything didn't even matter anymore. All I wanted was for him to kiss me. And as if he could read my mind he started to lean closer to me and pressed his soft lips against mine. He cupped my face with one hand and his other hand moved from my shoulder to my waist pressing me even closer to him. The kiss was sweet yet passionate and I couldn't get enough of it, of him. I felt a smile creep to the corners of my lips and happiness overflowed my emotions. But eventually we had to pull away to catch our breath. "Wow" he said. "Wow" I mocked him. He took my hand in his. "Y/N listen, I've liked you for as long as I can remember but I never dared to tell you. And when you left I really didn't know what to do anymore I just missed you so much." "it's okay, I'm here now and I have a much better reason to stay this time." I smiled to him. He returned the smile and grabbed my hand. "Y/N?" "Yeah Mason?" "I love you." Those three little words made my heart jump out of my chest and I smiled even bigger than before if that is even possible. "I love you too." I said bringing him closer. "Y/N do you want to- wait no would you like to uhm you know to be my uh my uh-" "yes Mason I would love to be your girlfriend." I cut him off. A wide grin spread across his face and he leaned forward to plant a kiss on my forehead. "You don't know how long I've waited for you to say that." He smiled. I smiled back and not so long after I fell asleep in his arms.

"Hey lovebirds wake up!" I heard Rose yell. I looked at my surroundings and remembered what happened. I looked to my side and saw a still sleeping Mason. He looked adorable. I decided to wake him up by kissing him. His eyes jumped open and he was awake within 0,1 second. "I wouldn't mind waking up like that more often." He smirked. I hit his chest playfully and bit my lip. "Are you guys coming down or what!?" Rose yelled again. "Yeah yeah!" I yelled back. We climbed out of the little treehouse and once on the ground Mason slung his arm around me. "Sooooo I guess it was fun last night huh?" Rose smirked. "You could say so." Mason said hugging me to his side. Then he went to find his friends and Rose walked me back to our room.

"So you guys saw everything?!" I asked shamefully. "Hey we didn't ask for the bond." Rose laughed. "You have to kiss him more often, I like the feeling when you're happy." Lissa said. "That won't be a problem." I giggled. "What won't be a problem?" Mason, who came walking from behind, asked. "That I have to kiss you more often." I grinned. "That sure won't be a problem." He smiled and pecked my lips. I felt my cheeks heat up, which usually happens when I'm around him. "Yeah really cute, now get a room." Rose joked. I laughed and leaned into Mason's chest. I looked up at him and smiled. This was more than worth coming back for.
