Even though I dream in colour, when I wake, I see in different shades of grey.--JackFrawley

Awake, I only see in shades of grey

Asleep, vibrant colors animate my dreams

Sitting stock still, scared my soul might decay

If visions in my mind rip at the seams

Always having my head stuck in the clouds

Castles surrounded by suspended air

Hidden with the help of some darkened shrouds

Unsure if anyone would even care

Tired of the emotions bottled inside

Deciding to take the bull by the horns

An action that I can surely abide

Regard all insecurities with scorn

So that things won’t take a turn for the worse

And I don’t have the burden of this curse
