Ode to Gallifrey

On the planet Gallifrey,
In the constellation Kasterborous,
Wind blows
Across the red grass
And through the silver leaf trees
As the two suns
Shine down on the planet,
The old, old, planet.
The Time Lords observe,
Though never interfering.
All the pain,
The beauty,
History happening
Right before their eyes,
And they only watch.
Children only eight years old,
Are made to stand
In front of the untempered schism.
Some run-
Some go mad
One heard the sound of drums.
It is the mightiest race
In the universe.
The Time Lords,
On Gallifrey.
