Black History!

How would the world be if it wasn't for black history?

All the pain, struggle, sweat, and tears.

Treated like cattle, punished with fear.

All the hard work to build the north and the south.

Not knowing their worth until the blacks got out.

All the things that blacks invented to make it easier for life.

No matter how hard the fight,

the dream of equal rights never left their site.

With good graces of God and and President Lincoln,

blacks fought a war with something they could believe in.

To fight for freedom is a serious fight.

Some of us are fighting to be free right now, black or white.

Throughout American Black history, blacks have taken a fall.

Looking to blame, now can't blame at all.

Because all the bad that happened, blacks still stand tall.

Blacks have shown their strength and made a big dent in history.

Black American president, Barack Obama, showed blacks can be whatever they want to be.

There are so many blacks in our history I didn't mention.

Take the month of February to give them an honorable mention.

With all the things that blacks have been through,

it's like an episode of Punk'd.

Never got the 40 acres and a mule;

just a Black History Month.

There have been so many great legends that brought change to the game; good or bad we can learn from them.

Will you leave a great legacy behind?

Will you be remembered if we push rewind?

It takes being your best and doing what's right to leave a legacy of love with a God fearing life.

You can do all things if you believe that it's right.

Whatever will be will be; the future is hard to see.

Take a moment of silence to remember black history.
