"Boss, prepare for infiltration.", Kazuhira Miller said to Big Boss over codec. It was the year of 1974, as Big Boss sat in the helicopter, shifting slightly to the intense sway of the gunship. "ETA 5 minutes, Boss.", the pilot shouted over the helicopter's loud engine.
Meanwhile, back at Mother Base, Revolver 'Shalashaska' Ocelot lined up many well trained soldiers in front of him, preparing them for a possible retaliation to Big Boss' mission, infiltrate Camp Omega and secure the two VIP prisoners, Ricardo 'Chico' Libre and Paz Ortega. Both under maximum security under orders from an unknown deformed monster of a man called Skullface.
Back at the helicopter, Big Boss opened the helicopter door and the intense Cuban wind hit his face painfully. "Get me down there quick Pequod.", The Boss yelled over the helicopter blades. "Roger that!" Later, the UTH-66 Blackfoot Helicopter touched down leaving The Boss on his own from there on out.
"Open your iDroid Boss.", Kaz half-ordered. "Something wrong Kaz?", Big Boss asked, "No. Just please get them back here in one piece."
The Boss picked the lock, seperating Big Boss and Camp Omega with ease, and proceeded holstering his Windurger No.2 Silent Pistol and doing what he did best during the Virtuous Mission in Russia.
"Make sure that the prisoners aren't up to anything.", ordered an unsuspecting Lieutenant who now was in the iron grip of the famous Big Boss. "Where are they?", Snake threatened. "Here, and here... Don't kill me please...", pleaded the cooperative solider. "Ok, get down. Don't move, and I won't.", Snake mercifully told him. "Yes, of course..."
"Boss, now you have the location of Paz and Chico. Get over there quickly.", Kaz said impatiently. "Don't worry, I'll get them safe Kaz"
"0300 HOURS FOGGY WEATHER, EXPECT HEAVY RAIN", blared Big Boss' iDroid.
Proceeding, stealthily as always, Big Boss snuck into the prison block where Chico was presumed to be held. Right enough, he was, with bolts drilled deep into his heels, restricting his ability to walk.
"Ok Boss, put Chico somewhere safe and find Paz."
Snake carried Chico to a sheltered overhang/cave making sure that he was as comfortable as possible as he may be gone for several hours.
Snake then headed to the main power plant, where Paz was presumably being kept. "Agh. Too many guards here...", Kaz complained, "Try something else. Do whatever you do to be as legendary at this kind of thing. "Hm.", Snake thought, removing his AM-MRS4 magazine. Aiming for a perfect spot to throw it, Snake held his breath and threw the clip as far as he could, attracting the attention of the 4 guards he needed occupied for a while.
"0310 HOURS HEAVY FOG APPROACHING, EXPECT HEAVY RAIN", The Boss' iDroid stated. "Now or never Boss...", Kaz urged.
Making a quick dart in Paz's predicted location, Snake found a cell door, with the very target he needed secured. As Snake picked up Paz, lots of fog fell, leaving at least 3 feet of pale white mist over the ground. "Boss, crouch and head to the LZ. I've called the chopper.", said Ocelot, with a distressed tone in his voice. "Boss get back here ASAP. Bring lots of firepower. Mother Base is under attack!" "Damnit...", Big Boss cursed. Heading for the Landing Zone quickly,
Snake heard several foot soldiers looking for Chico. This made Snake pick up his pace, heading back to where he left Chico and where the marked LZ was.
This is Pequod, I have arrived at LZ! Will stand by."
"Get Chico in the chopper."
"Roger."
The Boss arrived at the LZ, putting Paz on the helicopter, scanning the surface for any sign of hostiles. None. Infiltration successful.
Big Boss closed the helicopter door, thanking the medical staff inside the helicopter with him and congratulating himself for his perfect infiltration. "Boss, theres a uh... Flashing light on Paz. Might be a bomb.", one of the staff suggested. "Thats because it is.", Snake slowly stated. "No time for anaesthetic we need to open her now."
"Yes Boss.", the medical specialist hestitantly replied.
"Scalpel."
"Ok here comes the messy part."
"Just get on with it."
"Sorry Boss, wait. This could hurt a lot. Hold her down."
As they did so, Paz half-awake screamed "Bomb!"
"Do it.", Big Boss ordered.
As Paz struggled and resisted the pain of a scalpel being pulled across her abdomen Snake looked away, showing a slight hint of a weak heart, much to Kaz's suprise.
"Ok got it.", the staff member announced.
"Give it here."
"Yes sir."
Snake threw the bomb out of the helicopter, compensating for the fact that it WAS a bomb that they were dealing with.
Paz woke up startled mumbling, "Bomb..."
"We got it out Paz."
"No, theres another..."
Paz opened the helicopter door and jumped backwards, yet the explosion brought down the helicopter, with the crew inside.
As Big Boss was engulfed in flames, the staff member who opened Paz's central abdomen piled ontop of Snake, putting out the flames that covered him. Then the medical specialist was now unconscious due to a large amount of shrapnel, bone and teeth in his body, carrying the phantoms of those who saw the demonic power of plastic explosives. This was the birth of a legend, a demon, a phantom...
