    A Light in the Dark

    I woke up in the middle of the night and something caught my eye by the door
    
                          
    This orange light hovering slightly above the hallway stairs.
    
                          
    I heard a whisper calling out my name "Charlie"
    
                          
    I pulled the covers over my head, you know for protection
    
                          
    Then i felt something touch me above the covers
    
                          
    I froze as the covers started to pull back away from my face
    
                          
    "CHARLIE!" the orange orb screamed staring at me.
    
                          
    I closed my eyes quickly hoping and praying it would go away
    
                          
    When i felt brave enough to open them again
    
                          
    Nothing was there.
