She was what kept everyone sane, therefore making her insane.
There's a rare moment in someone's life when they teeter on the edge of total insanity. But for some reason, most people make it through. The reason is her.
But every time someone's close to falling off the edge, a piece of them is taken. Which would be good for them, if they have no knowledge of what happens in that single fragment of a second when they almost fall.
Those fragments all land in the body of a young girl, born and raised in Eichen house.
