It wasn't a start as a hard shell,
For when spat out into the new world- you are soft.
You work your way around, getting trampled on
Before you must renew yourself to continue.
But you take that deep breath and go on,
Hoping like hell that your barrier doesn't shed or crack.
You leave your safety zone to see the aquatic veins,
The coldness in your heart cast onto you from within,
Yet from the others.
You freeze, not being able to stay warm, but you stay.
And you try to complete your task to show that you are ONE
Not like anyone before, you're alone- your own person.
And as a shocking feature with a twist, as there always is one
In every story- Your middle name was Freedom,
But you will always be confined.
