A Mother's Version

Waited a nine months journey just for you

From the day one I started loving you

The bond of mother and baby was felt in the womb

That does not bother, you are my second child,

The love I felt, I swear all was new.

Many said many a thing as your sister is still a little baby

But I was delighted to bear all the pangs

Just to hold you in my hands

Ate all the good food, thought all the good things, just for you

Renewal of life I felt with you

And saw the world with a new view.

That does not bother, I am not a painter

Without using any brush I will colour your life

with proper education and good habits

I will show you the right route to life

To become tomorrow's graceful woman

Wait, for that day.

I will stay till the last.

A/N: This isn't my creation. It's my mother's. She wrote this when she was pregnant with my sister. This poem really touched my heart.
