Chapter 1: The Start of a New Age!

'THUMP' Laxus fell onto his bed exhausted. He had no idea that sleeping for seven years would be so tiring. It was a shock to him that he was in fact asleep for seven years. But before there was a dragon and the love of his life did turn into a demon, so nothing really made sense to him now.

His mind couldn't help but go to Jade, all the power she held within her; bursting out as if she was on fire. The amount that took over her body to the point where she couldn't think, scared him. He's known Jade for a very long time and knows the amount of control and focus she has. He couldn't shake off the feeling that it was going to come back, but this time harder and maybe with an army.

Laxus couldn't help but feel concerned for Jade, she flew off once we all awoke on the island and hasn't turned up anywhere. Laxus knew that it was probably to let herself think and go over what previously happened, but what did previously happen was too much for her to be alone right now. Laxus knows how much she hates when she messes up, and the fact that she almost killed Wendy, Jade would be tearing herself apart, inside to out.

Laxus couldn't help but feel lonely. He finally thought that after the S-Class trials that Jade and him could finally be together and lived the life they were destined to live. But it always seems like nature has another path for them, and Laxus hates it. He just wants to cuddle right up to Jade and breath in her beautiful scent and appearance and then converse with the personality that could send people wild.

But Laxus couldn't, because she was nowhere to be seen. With the hope and thoughts that Jade would be in his arms, the huge and buff man feel into a deep sleep filled with love and passion but also with fear and regret.

The sun shined through the open window, directly onto the blonde hair man as he cursed in disgust. He rolled over to hug onto his love but found nothing on the bed. His eyes beat open without a warning to see that his bed was in fact empty besides himself. Laxus sat up and brushed his hand over his face. It was a long night with some questionable dreams.

Laxus got out of bed and walked over to his closet where he somehow managed to get a shirt over his muscular body. The shirt clearly didn't fit, but it did hug his muscle is all the right ways. Laxus pulled on some black skinny jeans and walked to the bathroom to brush his teeth. Laxus looked into the mirror and found his eyes red with bags under them. He hasn't been able to get any real sleep for a long time with all the drama with Jade. Laxus washed some water on his face and exited the bathroom. He grabbed his huge jacket on the way out and headed for the guild.

When he arrived to the guild, it was nosy as ever and everyone seemed like they were still partying from the return of them. Laxus honestly felt bad for them all, they had to endure seven years without him. No but honestly, it must have been hard, losing your family unexpectedly for seven years. Laxus had to give it to Macao who kept the guild, well somewhat together.

He entered the guild and sat on one of the bar stools at the bar and ordered some breakfast from Mira-Jane. Mira gave Laxus his breakfast with a smile and a wink that Laxus ignored and ate his food, that was delicious. Mira was quite angry with the way Laxus responded to her little flirt. She knew Laxus for a very long time, and would never admits it, but has a crush on him.

She's always felt envious for Jade when she got which ever guy she wanted First Gajeel, then Laxus. Mira cared deeply for Laxus and could tell that Jade was tearing him apart. He seemed more tired than usual and all Mira wants to do is make him forget about her so that he could live a happy and healthy life, preferably with herself.

Makarov entered the guild from above and shouted to the guild to shut up. The master then cleared his voice and began his speech, well sort of.

"Pops! What is it?!?!" Natsu yelled at the man, interrupting the message he was about to give.

"He was about ot say if before you interrupted him! Flame for brains!" Gray told him, rudely. Natsu was about to retort to the insult but was stopped as a loud voice sang, "SHUT UP YOU TWO AND LET THE MASTER SPEAK!!!"

The two boys nodded violently, at Erza Scarlet that yelled at them Her fist was raised just in case they didn't listen. Erza slowly lowered her fist and looked up to the master and gave him a nod to go through what he was going to say. Makarov nodded as a thank you to the red haired mage.

"Okay my children! So there has been news of a new tradition in Fiore called the Grand Magic Games. It is a competition between guilds to see who is the strongest guild in all of Fiore! But that is not all, there is a 30,000,000 jewels prize!! That is the money we need to rebuild our guild!!!" Makarov declared to the guild and they all cheered.

"For our team in the Grand Magic Games, we will have: Natsu! Gray! Lucy! Erza! And Wendy!" Makarov also told us and everyone cheered again for the new team. "Those five are not going not going to be the only ones competing, you might be called into battle at any stage! So we all have three months to prepare ourselves! Go, my children! Train as hard as you can!!" The guild erupted into cheers for the final time and found their groups for training.

An idea struck Laxus' head. He thought that Jade would be a great help in the battling scene. Laxus walked over to his grandfather and wanted to talk to him about it. "Gramps?"

"Laxus! How are you doing" Makarov asks, in concern of his grandchild.

"I'm okay for the time being. But I thought of something that can help us win the Grand Magic Games." Laxus tells him, almost positive he won't let him do it.

"What is it?" The master asks, intrigued.

"I think I should go find Jade and bring her to the Grand Magic Games. She's an incredible mage and can win any fight, even before her demon transformation." Laxus, tried to persuade his grandfather into letting him.

"I don't know Laxus, she might be too powerful. And, I don't know how the world is going to react to her being a demon." Makarov said making some good points, but Laxus was determined.

"We have three months right? I'll find her and I'll get her ready. We don't have to use her, but she's good back up and she's our family. She's one of us." Laxus pointed out, feeling good about himself from his persuasive argument.

"You have a good point. Okay, I'll allow you to go find her."
