Amelia never forgot the way the gun was dug into her temple, body pinned against the brick wall as she whimpered for help. The man chuckled behind her, a fellow colleague working with her fiancé. He was aware of Richard's possession on the blonde, but the factor was quickly dismissed when his hand grasped her throat. She remembered the way he whispered and the smell of alcohol hitting her face.
Any human would've brushed off the small sounds emitting Amelia's mouth, but for a vampire, it was easy to distinguish. The man had rushed to her aid, flinging the stranger's body off of her. A bullet had landed in her side and Amelia collapsed onto the cold ground, her white dress showing a bright red stain. A few seconds passed before she felt a searing pain run up her arm, staring at the man who crouched down to bite her. His blood colored eyes gazed at her as he stood, leaving the scene.

She stood at the back of her wedding, observing as Richard's face fell in defeat when she never came down the aisle. She spent years trying to find a home when she met Alice Cullen. Carlisle immediately accepted her and she became adjusted to their lifestyle, delighted to replace the blood of humans with animals.
Forks knew Amelia Cullen as the girl with the simpering grin and golden eyes. She had the whole town wrapped around her finger and nobody dared to raise their voice at her.
