Friday: 8:30 PMNiall's POV:
The smell of the hospital made me uneasy. I sat in the waiting room in the ER, twiddling my thumbs timorously. I lifted my head to take a look around. I spotted an old man with his hands over his face, it made me upset. My legs began to shake restlessly as I thought about Calvin. It felt like I had been waiting hours, when in reality it had only been 20 minutes. There was a child not too far in front of me playing with little toys the hospital provided. My view was soon blocked when a lady moved in front of me. I looked up at her, she was one of the nurses. Her name tag read "sherry." "Please follow me, we have some questions about Calvin." She said calmly. I nodded, standing up and following her into a dimly lit room. She closed the door behind us and walked over to a plastic curtain, pulling it open. "Calvin seems to be in some type of small drug-induced coma." Sherry said softly. Calvin was revealed, his eyes were shut and he had all sorts of tubes running out from his body. They seemed to have washed him or something, because his hair was wet and he smelt clean. Another doctor stood by, examining his body and checking his vital signs. Sherry held a clipboard and began asking me questions, scribbling down my answers.
"I never caught your name, what is it?"
"Niall."
"Okay, Niall. Can you tell me what happened?"
"I was at this pumpkin patch, and Calvin was stolen, by this group of boys."
"Mmhm, go on."
I began to cry as I told the story. "So these boys stole him, and I couldn't find him for almost four weeks. Eventually, one of the boys texted me this address and I-"
"Did you report these boys to the police?"
"I- I will soon. So anyways, I got to the house and the boy opened the door, he told me that they would sometimes forget to feed him a-and they said they drugged him. So I ran downstairs and found him chained up in this big steel cage."
"Do you know what drugs they used?"
"No."
"He doesn't seem to be doing too well-"
"Will he be okay?!"
"Yes, he will be okay eventually. The drugs should wear off by Wednesday, and he'll hopefully wake up. He should be able to talk normally at that time as well. Although, he is very weak. I've never seen someone this frail and bruised before."
"Could I stay here with him until he wakes up?"
"I think it's best if you go home, he's safe here. You can visit him whenever you'd like, though."
"Thank you."I walked over to Calvin and looked at his thin, pale face. It truly broke my heart to see him like that. I stroked his face softly, his head shifted slightly.

Niall's POV:
The hospital seemed quite empty as I arrived. I had only visited Calvin a couple times in the past couple days, because I was too busy with the police. Whenever I would go, I would just talk to his lifeless body, sometimes reading him stories. He didn't make a whole lot of movements, but sometimes I felt he could hear me.I walked into Calvin's room and over to his bed, he was looking a ton better than when I had first brought him in, but he was still pale and very underweight. I looked down and him and stroked his hair back. "Calvin," I said in a soft voice. "Calvin, please please please wake up. It's me, Niall. I miss you so much. Calvin, I think I love you." I said in the most soothing voice I could muster. He didn't move. I don't know why I did, but I leaned down and kissed him. Right on the lips.
I felt Calvin's lips twitch underneath mine. "I'm not gay, get off me you faggot." Calvin mumbled, giggling softly. His eyes opened slowly, looking up at me. "CALVIN?! CALVIN! YOU'RE AWAKE. FUCK CALVIN. I THOUGHT I FUCKING LOST YOU." I shouted, tears started pouring out of my eyes. My knees pretty much gave out and I fell to the floor. "Stop shouting, and get up off of the ground. I hate hospitals, let's get out of here." Calvin said, beginning to move his body. His voice was raspy, he hadn't spoke normally in weeks. "I'm fucking thirsty as fuck too, could you grab me a glass of water?" I stood up and nodded, leaving out the room to grab him some water. I grabbed a nurse nearby as well and told her the news. She smiled and followed me into Calvin's room. To our shock, calvin was sitting up. "What the fuck are these fucking tubes doing in me anyways?" Calvin said, attempting to pull one out of his arm. "DON'T TOUCH THOSE! ILL TAKE THEM OUT FOR YOU." The nurse said, running over to Calvin. "Glad to have you back, mate." I said, handing the water to him.

Niall's POV:
We walked out of the hospital and into the musky, early morning air. I did at least, Calvin was still too weak to walk so he was bound to a wheelchair. I helped him into the car and threw the crutches and wheelchair in the back seat, it was harder than it sounded. As we were driving back to my house, I remembered Calvin's family. "Don't you wanna be with your mom and dad and stuff?" I asked softly. "I'm sorry. We're they the ones that saved me? No. Did they even ask where I was?" Calvin asked, kinda frustrated. "Yeah, like twice." I replied. "See? It's been like a month and they did not give any fucks about me at all. Can we go back to your house, please?" I wasn't about to fight with him on that. "Yeah, sure. But you'll have to talk to them sooner or later." I said, he nodded understandably. We drove in silence for a bit until Calvin spoke."Is it true? Do you actually love me?" Calvin asked, looking at me with his big brown eyes, fluttering his eyelashes. "I think you can figure that one out yourself." I said, pulling up to my driveway.
