drumline. what else needs to be said? even if you go in thinking, "this won't be that fun, but i want to try it," you'll end up looking at five thousand dollar snare drums at three in the morning. it's obsessive. like a disease, or drinking, or drugs. something you try quit or try get rid of, but you always go back, no matter how hard you try.
i went in my freshman year of high school thinking, "drumline can't be that cool," but oh, how wrong i was.
