After the last war, all of the X-Men went their own ways. Rouge went went back to her home, where her parents awaited. Jean went to her long lost aunt's house. Scooter and Kurt became roommates. And then Beast bought his own lab.
That left Logan.
He held the little girl in is arms as everyone said their goodbyes. Rouge and Jean had the hardest time saying bye to Logan and Ash. They were like Ash's gaurdians. They had become protective of the 3 year old and she relied on them.
Rouge and Jean both hugged Logan and left. Logan looked at the child in his arms and she squirmed.
"I will always protect you Ash," Logan kissed her forehead.
"Daddy," she hugged him.
"Come on, kid," Logan led her to the car.
"When are Jean and Rouge coming back?" Ash asked as she buckled herself in.
"Later, babe. Later."
