Best. Day. Ever.

When I open my eyes I am blinded by lights. They adjust to the light and I see that I'm lying in a bed. The small room I'm in is bright and has four white walls. Other than the bed the only other furniture is a chair in the corner. A heart monitor beeps next to me and there is an IV in my arm.

I try to remember what I last saw: someone is chasing me and I'm running down a flight of stairs towards a figure ahead of me. The figure is tall and has broad shoulders but it is too dark to see it's face. 

Why is that the first and the only thing I remember? I'll have to get the answers later.

 First I have to figure out where I am, who I am, and why I'm here. I'm wearing a nightgown and I'm a woman. Whoever I was before this I probably did a lot of sports because I'm very muscular and my knuckles are split and bloody from I'm guessing punching.

Why was I punching?

Add that to the list of questions.

The room has no windows, but a door at the opposite wall of me.

I rip the IV out and try to get up but my head throbs. Why does it hurt so much? I manage to make it out of the bed and walk over to the door. It's locked.

Okay, so I wake up in a locked room with no memory of who I am or anything about my past life.

Best. Day. Ever.

I start pounding on the door with my fist when I suddenly hear voices behind it. They are too quiet to understand what they are saying but I can tell that it's a female and a male voice. They sound like they are arguing.

I bang on the door: "Hey, let me out of hear!", I shout. The arguing stops and the door handle turns. A woman with dark hair and a stern expression opens the door, forcing me to back up. Once she sees me her eyes soften, but she still has a sad look in her face.

"Hello, my name is Jacqueline Anderson, but you can call me Jacky." she says. The man she was talking with comes out from behind her, "And this is Lars. You must have a lot of questions."

That is an understatement.
