A Paper Rose

Fragile, Beautiful

The One He Chose

To Give His Love

He Never Thought

That Before He Reached Her

She Ought To Die

So As She Lay

Dead and Lifeless

He Took The Rose

And Wrote

"A Paper Rose,

That's What She Was

Only She Knows

Why She Did This

All These Terrible Thoughts

We Will Dismiss

But Our Paper Rose,

Will Be Missed"

He Signed His Name

And Kissed Her For The Last Time

He Laid The Note And Rose Beside Her

As He Cried

He Thought To Himself

"How Could My Paper Rose

Just Die?"
