For a while he bothered Ava. She felt like her parents liked him more than her. But when he got a little older she grew to love the boy.
She taught him to count with beans. She sang the ABC's with him while showing him ABC blocks, and they shared toys. Yes, they fought often, but they loved each other deeply.
Their parents payed less attention to them the older they got.
When Ava was ten and Tyrone was seven, their parents were too busy at their separate jobs they hardly ever came home.
