Alone

I could hear the shattering of rain
On the transparent window pane
I could feel his heart broken pain
I could see his swollen red eyes in vain

There he stood in black by the death bed
Weeping was him and the ever assaulting rain
Silence is what he could hear
Memories played in front that he couldn't bear

A tear rolled down his jet black glossy eyes
People stood condolencing nearby
Broken heart that weeped; like a statue
He stood there up right.

Face turned from fair to crimson
Lips swollen due to excess biting
Controlling the emotions of his crying heart
His gaze fixed on her closed eyes waiting to part.

Her wrinkled body, still she lie
Eyes closed with with angels nearby
Dressed in her favorite red and pink
He remembered their secret first wink

The Smiles he had shared with her
Not forgetting her stories and lullaby
"Another mother",  he called her
Now gone;  taken away from him

Yet he stood there, firm and still
"This is not the end", said his will
Her soul awaits for person somewhere above
Long gone; waiting for her

As they take her away from him
His heart aches to stop the world
To fight with the people around
Like a warrior,  just for her.

Gone is her soul;
Tears that slowly pours
Last glimpse of her he gets
Till the end he waits... Alone.
