Artemis POV
It's late at night and I hear some movement. I try to act asleep and act like I'm tossing and turning. I open my eyes to seem like I'm not opening them and see Jade my older sister packing a bag, so I know it's safe. I get up and say,
"What are you doing" I say looking at her real innocent.
"Artemis go back to bed" she hisses. Now I know somethings up. I may be four but I'm smarter than a grown man.
"Where are you going" I ask her.
" I'm leaving. I've had enough of that thing were supposed to call a dad. Plus mom was never even there for us so I'm leaving" what does she mean "was".
"What do you mean was, and why are you leaving. When mom comes back we'll be one whole family again." I say getting a little pissed. Then I see that "look" come on her face.
"Mom died in jail. She's not coming back, and she never will. Plus dad is a total douche bag so there is so there is no way I'm reffering to him as family."
"Then take me with you" I say and smile to her.
She smiles back and says "Yeah, there is no way I'm taking you with me. You'll only slow me down" she opens the and stands on the edge and says "Plus in this family, its every girl for her self." and she disappears.
