There was a whisper

"Help"

It came from everywhere.

I looked around-

nobody else heard.

"Help me"

I couldn't tell where it came from.

My head swung left and right

straining to hear,

Where had it come from?

I saw something move out of the corner of my eye

A misty shimmer

Forming the shape of a woman

She was beautiful

coffee colored eyes and hair

She began to solidify the closer I looked

She was scared- lost.

Her eyes gazed into mine-

I had to look away.

"Help"

My head swung back to the woman

Her eyes were drilled on mine

"Please"

I blinked and

she was gone.

I closed my eyes again-

she appeared behind my eyelids.

"Make me real.

I don't want to be a fragment of your imagination anymore"

Her eyes were so hopeful.

"Write about me-

make me...

real.

Please"

I pushed her out of my thoughts,

gagging her in the back of my mind-

she couldn't bother me anymore.

I had the power, but why?

Why do these voices keep trying to involve me?
